This fellow just learned a hard lesson. Experts have been warning us for decades about pollution and global warming. In fact, someone just SWAM IN THE ARCTIC, where no water was available before! Does this not tell us something? As soon as I can I'm getting a diesel or hybrid.

Too bad about the Hummer, but I'm quite certain his insurance will cover it. So, he'll just get another gas-guzzler that spews out petrol fumes. Bigger the car, the smaller the p****.

Tell me this, who is the fool hear: a person owning and driving a gas-guzzling vehicle, or a person going out of his/her way to abolish it. I understand and partially agree with what environmentalist stand for. But going out of their way to destroy someone elses property? Totally childish!!! Grow up!!!

I wouldn't condone the vandalism either. The same way I don't condone other acts of stupidity, though there's nothing wrong with conserving energy either - wealthy or not, that's still costs a lot of money to fuel it.

Let God judge. And may He have mercy on us all.

He should buy a environment-friendly Toyota Tundra pickup. According to Yahoo new vehicles, the 4x4 gets 14 miles per gallon, same as the Hummer.

The Hummer is much more eco-friendly than the Prius. Only the Prius fuel consumption is better but that is only the most visible part of it. The Prius takes far more resources to manufacture and far less of it can be recycled, unlike the steel and aluminum in the Hummer. Altogether, the Prius is NOT eco-friendly.
Unfortunately, this is the kind of mindlessness that has swept America and it will only get worse. This wasn't about the environment at all. These individuals, like others, are insane wicked and desperately need to latch onto an issue they don't even understand, to provide an excuse for their hatred and extreme anger. It's going to get worse and the issues will be you-name-it. The Catholic Church is to blame for all evil in the World, so burn down churches. George Bush lied so lets throw rocks at a car with gov't license plates. There is just no limit to the mindlessness and this is one tiny example. If those two masked men had been captured, you wouldn't believe the insane arguments they would spew. I'm just afraid this is where we are.
Read other postings on this article. I guarantee there will be a lot of people saying the Hummer owner got what he deserved, since I actually read some posters writing that the Amish schoolchildren got what they deserved! That's where we are, America.
It is predicted that in the next ten years the most debilitating disease in America will not be cancer, AIDS, etc. It will be mental and emotional derangement.

I like the Hummer cos its military looking. But the people got to business doing damage on his hummer . True is should be made earth user friendly. But the same people are they any better. no. They are terrioists to damage it. It is not their place to damage what is not theirs. I don't like cars and tell others to use mass transit as that does get cars off the roads. It is fair to make the persons pay for the hummer they damaged his monthly bills related to this untill paid off and then some. Jail/prisom don't work.
