Masked Men Smash 5-Day-Old SUV With Baseball Bats
Hey taylpatr,
Does that kind of thinking apply to Algore too? He lives in a huge, piggish mansion with a lighted driveway and a HEATED POOL.
Why don't we kick Algore and Tipper out of that Piggy House they live in and convert it to apartments for the homeless??
After we smash it with bats, of course.
Liberals are NEVER consistent. With them it's DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO.

- Destruction of personal property & freedom of speech,
are two VERY different things
Typical liberalism...no real surprise to me.
Fortunately, I live in a state where it is legal
to defend yourself AND your property. My state
also allows concealed weapons permits.
These eco-nuts wouldn't dare attempt that here.
Good way to get yourself killed.

- P.I.G.- People into gluttony. What gives them the right to burn all that fuel? Just because they can afford it? We, as a people, all live on this planet and share the resources. Driving a P.I.G.mobile is not only greedy and wasteful, it is also a sin! Gluttony is a sin, whether it's food, drugs, drink or fuel. The rest of us are tired of seeing you capitalist pigs showing off your ego with a huge vehicle, and a large vehicle does NOT make up for a tiny weenie. I say smash em and slash em. Get them off the road!

- "I'm worried about what I do now," Groves told the Post. "If I get it fixed, do I put it back in the same spot three weeks from now?"
Yeah, only outfitted with Police camera's and detectors, etc, so they can catch the miscreants. The solutions to Global Warming are communal ones (which is why right wingers hate the topic entirely), no one individual toys(including Al Gore's house) can make up the difference, or be expected to. I hate hummers, what they represent, but our system allowed them to come into being and we're stuck with them. Only higher mileage standards will help solve Global Warming. - Reply to this comment
- We do not have to agree with his purchase, but he has the freedom to buy what he desires as long as it is legal. Taking a bat to a car costs all of us more....insurance will pay for the damage and eventually they have to pass claim expenses on to the consumer. Driving a car or truck or suv is a freedom.... Not taking responsiblity for one's actions in damgaging the vehicle is reflective of a coward. If you think what you are doing is right, why hide in darkness and disquise? Sin likes darkness and damgaging someone's vehicle is sin.

Mortgage interest deduction is a welfare handout???????
IT'S ALL MY MONEY THAT THE IRA IS CONFISCATING!!!!
And they let me keep a little more of it through a deduction and you call it government welfare?????????????
That's just SICK SICK SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
andor3, it's YOUR kind of thinking that is part of the reason for the Government Nanny Welfare State that is slowly being created!!!

- as soon as he repairs it they need to take bats to it again

- well Im ashamed of them... those bats they used were used to kill trees... *nods*
In all seriousness. While I think vandalizing is a way to get someone's notice.. I think its the wrong way.. even though it may have opened some people's eyes, I hope they're caught and charges for the crime.
Personally I hate hummers.. one for the environment and two because they're fake.. if you want a hummer get a real one.. not some new shiny piece of plastic toy. - Reply to this comment
- someone said: "I've earned my choices, by working my butt off in the private sector and proudly serving my country before that."
This sort of delusional thinking makes me very angry, and it seems to be a specialty of a certain type of ignorant American. No, if your choices affect me I will have something to say about them.
It's even more dishonest for any American to believe they "earned" anything by themselves--there is a vast support network of culture and neighbors, natural resources, and government protection that kept you from being squashed like a bug. You've probably taken advantage of massive government welfare handouts (mortgage interest deduction is the biggest).
I do not condone vandalism of low-mileage or high-pollution vehicles, but I would support and lobby for government mandated standards and local restrictions--neighbors and cities can regulate hat vehicles are street legal. - Reply to this comment
- The only one who looks good are the Car Companies and Big Oil. Those Eco-Radicals are destroying your right to pollute, take up 2 parking spaces and keep US dependent on Iran/Veneuzla/Russia/Lybia/Saudi Arabia.. Who really killed the beast? Bin Ladden drives a Hummer! When are those backwards CEO'S going to come out with a Plug-in Hybrid. Whoever did attack the Beast should be punished, and the owner of the Hummer should trade in his Monster for a real car.. Bl

- I would like to see gas rationed as them drivers would not joy ride, would have to car pool, take mass transit. I have to as a legally blind person.I don't support vandalising of any kind. The troops are fighting a war over oil so you could honour them by parking the car. Fighting an illegal war at that. There will be a day when the oil runs dry for good. That car is jacking up everything cos it runs on gas. We who can't drive pay the price and it is not fair. Selfish cars or their owners. Sorry about the guy. I hate dirty air and cars pollute. How about more tolls to fix the roads you drive your car on. I walk or use the public transport.

- If your going to be a eco person then you better go all the way and do what you can to stop polluting everything. Those bottles of water, BAD stop buying them, they are filling up our dumps and the recycling of them is expensive and has thier own enviro problems. Hybrid and electic cars are also bad (good for gas but that's not the only enviro part of them)what about the batteries where do they go? Oh and what about how you fill your electric car up with electicity, over 50% of electicity in the US is produced by Coal, at the expense of the earth and people that die and are sicked by it that work in the mines. What about all the computers and electronic devises that everyone thinks they need, what happens to them when they are no longer useful 6 months after you buy them cuz you need the next best product out there like the IPHONE.
What I want to know is what is next? Today a Hummer tomorrow someone's home that isn't eco friendly enough! I am so sick of everyone trying to shove this eco S H I T down my throat. (NO PUN INTENDED) Tell Gore to stop flying his planes and sell a couple of his vac homes and that will offset any Hummer out there on our roads!!! Also if he was so worried about it why have electicity driven concerts all over the world, HE'S A JOKE!!! - Reply to this comment
lewiston14, that's my whole point.
Why are these eco-vandals picking on the little guy? Why can't they go after the rich liberal who is telling us all how to live from his big, fat, energy-wasting, too-big-for-two-people mansion? (or maybe he's in one of his vacation homes, I don't know.)
Some on this board are posting sympathetic comments regarding the eco-vandals, and I'm just saying if that's the route we want to go, then meet me at Algore's.

- Please don't bring gore into this. He is a two face Bast__ard. Ill just refer you to this. How ECO friendly is he really? Maybe he bought some carbon trading cards.

I'm really getting into this Eco-vandalism thing.
Whoever is vandalizing Hummers really needs to turn their attention to rich liberals who live in mansions WAY bigger than they need, and having WAY more vehicles than they need, and fly around in private jets, and have MULTIPLE homes.
Algore's mansion and vacation homes pollute WAY more than this guy's Hummer ever will over their lifetime.
All those excess things that Algore and his ilk have should be smashed, slashed, and busted.
Let's be consistent, Eco-Vandals.

- I could care less what others drive it is their business and I could care less if a person is an advocate of public transportation. To destroy a persons personal property is down and dirty. Glad it is not my neighborhood...just leave me my parking space

- I don't like Hummers. I think that they are wasteful and a pain to park. That said these vandals are wrong and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

Hey, I've got an idea!!
Why don't we all go over to Algore's mansion in Tennessee and vandalize that?? And let's hit his vacation homes too!!
What's good for the goose and all.

- It appears that this article has been mislabeled. In the title it says the vadalism occurred in D.C. when later in the article it states the victim lives in northwest Washington.
