Masked Men Smash 5-Day-Old SUV With Baseball Bats
- Ah, the attack of the kook, left-wing, environmental lobby.
"I don't like what you have (because I can't afford one myself) so I'll state it's bad for the environment, and take it away from you."
Democrat policies at work. What's theirs is theirs, and they want what's yours as well. - Reply to this comment

Well, with you being a "guy" I wouldn't expect you would.
When a man is acting like "MR.BIG", I just look at his fingers and I can usually tell if he is indeed MR.BIG or not.:)
Tell me Mr. ToolMangler, do you do what your name implies? Mangle your Tool? Hahahaha - Reply to this comment
- Destruction of personal property & freedom of speech,
are two VERY different things
Typical liberalism...no real surprise to me.
Fortunately, I live in a state where it is legal
to defend yourself AND your property. My state
also allows concealed weapons permits.
These eco-nuts wouldn't dare attempt that here.
Good way to get yourself killed.

- "upscale northwest Washington neighborhood"
I assume that this is Washington D.C. because in Washington a Hummer or a Jeep is quite useful and sometimes required. I also assume that its D.C. because the vandals are still alive (they don't allow guns in D.C. so hoods can do what ever they want to with relative impunity. That will teach him to park on the street. - Reply to this comment

Thats one survey I never felt the need to make. Which one did you use the most, a six inch scale or a 12 inch scale? I also am mildly curious, were they all 'up'? - Reply to this comment
- This guy probably "deliberately" bought a Hummer, knowing that his neighbors were "eco-friendly", just to get a rise out of them.
Well if he did, it WORKED! - Reply to this comment

I see your obsession with Al Gore is back.
You were doing so well! - Reply to this comment
- And you did? Maybe instead of asking the question, you should have found out what the answer was and then reported that.

- My main ride has two cylinders and gets 55 to 60 mpg, that drops to 35 mpg if I gas it to 125 mph. You need a very expensive car to beat me from light to light or out run me on the top end. Fortunately for you and me, I am past the age that neede to show off that ability. 60+ years have taught me how to live without dying until the Lord wants me. My ride for inclement weather is a 94 mazda 4 cyl, p'kup. The wife has a late model minivan for the Grandkids. I come from a dirt poor but loving and caring family and have become a respected property owner. If I chose to buy a Hummer or any other fancy ride that struck my fancy after my many years of toeing the mark and working hard, that is my business. If some fool that can't afford to buy his own and wants to make an example of me for owning (whatever) tries to trash my (whatever), he may well be greeted by every piece of ordinance I own (legally). surveillance cameras watch my 6.

I'm sorry andor3,
I guess then what we should be doing is simply handing over our entire paychecks to the government and letting them subsidize our entire lives.
That's your utopia, isn't it?

- hawkspring asks:
"mortgage interest deduction is a welfare handout?"
Yes, one of the most expensive welfare programs--free money to people to encourage or subsidize something, home ownership in this case. Costs billions and goes to the rich.
hawkspring also says:
"IT'S ALL MY MONEY THAT THE IRA IS CONFISCATING!!!!"
Taxes fund your ability to own a home, not to mention probably provide a framework your entire livelihood. Hardly "your" money.
Funny how you can hold out your hand for your entitlement with one hand and deny it with the other. - Reply to this comment
