Here are examples of our Commander in Chief:Eisenhower initiated an assassination attempt on Patrice Lumumba, of the Congo, because when the Congo gained its independence in 1960 he sought to redistribute the wealth among the Congolese, in which European and American corporations would have been cut out of the loop.

This assassination attempt was carried over into the Kennedy administration, which ironically, Kennedy was assassinated.

The same for Cuba, Nicaragua, Columbia, Venezuela, which the U.S. government has negatively propagandized to the American public as being a nemesis of democracy, what a %u201Ccrock of bull%u201D.

We all know how the Kennedy administration, the CIA tried numerous of times to assasinate Fidel Castro, because he ran U.S. corporations out of Cuba, backed by the "mob", and sought help from Nikita Khrushchev.

During the Vietnam War the CIA sent mercenaries to protect their heroin /Opium fields in Laos and Cambodia, of which they brought back to the United States and purposely trafficked in black communities.

This government sponsored %u201Cgoon squads%u201D, and sent mercenaries to assassinate the Ayatollah, because he was an enemy of Western hegemony. It%u2019s always easier to think of our government and America as the %u201Cgood guys%u201D, because it aids us against the reality of looking at the absolute truth.

The U.S. Military is an extremely tight organization. The U.S. Military does nothing on its own. All orders come from the Commander in Chief, the President of the United States through the U.S. Secretary of Defense down to the U.S. Commanders. Picking on the U.S. Military is wrong, everything originates from President Bush, the sole Commander in Chief, the U.S. Military is the Presidents domain and his alone. If change is required you can only effect that change by replacing the U.S. President! The U.S. Military will do exactly what President Bush orders them to do and Poll numbers, Blogs or Congress can't stop it directly.

Vietnam, I've seen the documentary the U.S. government didn't want Americans to see, hundreds, thousands of dead bodies of Vietnamese, AND badly burnt bodies of men, women, and children screaming as the burnt flesh dangles FROM THEIR BODIES.

I've seen the disfigured arms, legs, and feet of men, women, and children, along with mutilated corpses.

I've heard testimony after testimony FROM former military personnel and top political officials testify about these atrocities.

I've seen photographs of piles of bloated maimed bodies and soldiers smiling as though they HAD mastered the big catch for today.

Villages burned to the ground and people scrambling around screaming and crying looking through the detritus for love ones, or possible signs of life.


Watch the documentaries on Vietnam all the carnage and human degradation, and then talk about military competency...

Actually seeing those images should cause any rationally sane individual to rethink his/her position on WARS.

The U.S. government and Media are careful not to show the American public the %u201Ccasualties of war%u201D--the burnt corpses, maimed bodies of innocent civilians, mothers, fathers, screaming in horror carrying the mutilated bodies of their children.

When I first saw the Vietnam footage I wanted vomit, I cried throughout the entire documentary, it was horrific.

If we had been fighting a DEFENSIVE WAR, I%u2019m quite sure many would be in support, not of the senseless murder of innocent civilians, but of fighting against Iraq.

However, this is not a DEFENSIVE WAR; it is a war for CAPIATLIST GREED, so how could any decent American condone this encroachment upon a sovereign country, without being OUTRAGED.


I realize it is imperative to the safety of those serving in the military and to our National Security that military personnel don%u2019t go half cocked and create arbitrary rules, there is a protocol every military official and personnel should follow%u2014however when confronted with the unethical and amoral, there should be %u201Cchecks and balances%u201D by a higher authority, the American public over the unlawfulness of military personnel, including the Commander in Chief.

I'm just a nobody like the rest of us, a little fish in the pond, a pawn in the Chess Game, a common foot soldier. What the hell are we suppose to do? We can voice our opinions and Vote. But even in that context we don't need to voice our opinions in such a way as to destroy our nation or leave it in bad shape for the next administration. Many of the same points can be made without all the nastiness. As far as the Vietnamese go I have Vietnamese friends now I hang out with who escaped from the South when it fell, I never mistreated any Vietnamese and neither did my Unit. But war is war and like I pointed out earlier, there is no nice way to kill anybody. A good person with a good heart will always do the right thing and don't need a Geneva Convention or a Religion for that.
