I'm no expert however feel sorry for the poor girl. Thats the first ride when you arrive to the park. I was there few weeks ago, and in my opinion 6Flags are by norm not the safer amusement parks (compared to other parks such Disney, Univ, SeaWorld etc) not very well kept then again for the price what we could ask for? the water park looks in really good conditions, the rest not so well. I visited other 6flags and thats the norm. I went in a low season to Atlanta and they were rides where you could ride on your own without supervision.
Maybe safety inspections must be done more frequently and into more dept. Raising standards will help too.

Actually, I have read statistics that say A travelling carnival is safer than the "permanent" amusement parks. Supposedly the inspections on the travelling types are stricter. Quite frankly I don't know why!!

First of all, I want to say that I'm not a therapist either; but all I need to do is look at some of the people who work at these places to know that they are not safe. You need to have people who really take their jobs seriously, to keep places like this safe...and, I'm not seein' it.
A reason. It's easier to try and get feet to fit your legs than it is to get legs to fit your body. The latter being not entirely probable. I would like to go with just the feet but really want to be sure.
Hmmm....also reminds me of a story, I like to think of the glass half full. There's hope for all of us yet!
