You can be assured that if these were REALLY bad guys, the Bush admin. would have had their trials out in the open for all to see so they would serve as trophys to the Bush admins wonderfulness. Instead, we don't hear much about what these guys actually did to justify them being held.

If you can point me to some proof that more than a handful of these guys have actually been charged and convicted of REAL crimes against the US and Afghanistan I would be happy to listen or look it up. I'm pretty sure I won't hear anything from you (you don't seem smart enough) but I'm willing to look into whatever you might find from a reputable news source.

Fact is, the US is stuck. Many of these people are probably innocent. If, after all these years of mistreatment it is found out by the world that the US has been holding them with out reason, it will be an embarrassment to the world. The Bush admin hasn't been afraid to kill innocents before, what makes you think that a few hundred more is going to make a differnce to them?

Oh and you're still wrong. There's not a snowballs chance in hell that America will trust another republican...unless they condemn Bush and his war in Iraq. Just saying he didn't conduct the war competently will not be enough. The next president will be one who says the war itself was a godawful stupid (even moronic) idea in the first place. America will not vote for someone who doesn't say that.
