nykate, bobnjersey and tuckerwhatever...there's a big difference between selling hamburgers or cough syrup for $10.00 an hour and allowing a strange man to invade and violate your body for $50.00. No, the prostitute is not an idependent contractor. She will have a pimp or a madam 90% of the time who will take a chunk of what she earns. This will happen even if it becomes legalized just as actors pay their agents to get them work. Have any of you brilliant, insightful people ever talked to a prostitute? Any hooker will tell you she never has an ***, doesn't enjoy what she does and hates herself for doing such filthy, disgusting and dangerous work. Most of them were molested when young or have other serious mental problems, not to mention the physical problems they develop from this kind of work. You think regulation and aids testing will solve this? Maybe for the Johns who will then be protected but not for the girl herself who is going to die if she tests positive. Have any of you ever tried to think deeply and independently on your own about these issues or do you all just swallow whole(no pun intended)whatever politically correct *** that comes your way?

This week I'm being called a Nazi and KKK member on one board, a child molester and pedophile on another board, a neanderthal man on another board, a racist on one of those boards, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be a liberal or conservative.

I'd rather my daughters and granddaughters were prostitutes than counter help at Walmart or McD's. And, if that was their choice, I'd be fully supportive.

There is nothing more degrading that working as slave labor in some menial job for some global corporation for the primary benefit of the corporate profit machine.

At least prostitutes provide a useful service and are independent contractors free of corporate control.

Bible thumpers have always supported slavery and supporting corporate slavery is no different than supporting any other form of slavery. Bible thumpers hate independence.

Being paid for doing what a person enjoys is "degrading," but standing behind a counter at Walmart or McD's taking orders from rude, abusive people is what, uplifting and rewarding?

Other than the influence of radical right wing bible thumpers and holy rollers, the primary reason prostitution is illegal is because Walmart and McD's need people (mostly women) who will degrade themselves for $50 for an eight hour day. If women could legally earn $50 an hour (or less time than that), working their own hours, in their own homes, Walmart and McD's (other slave labor corporations) would go bankrupt.

You must have never been to Las Vegas.

Cars can barely get down the streets on the strip due to all the people wandering out into the streets.

Cops need to protect cars from old ladies in walkers and wheel chairs.

The average age of Las Vegas tourists appears to be about 85.

But, we agree that is a waste of resources for Las Vegas cops to be chasing after hookers. And, ironic to be prosecuting "sin crimes" in "Sin City.

The real story here is how we are so celebrity and sports star obsessed that this would even be a national news piece. What happened has nothing to do with Mr. Agassi nor the school. The crime here is the waste of police resources by having teams of undercover cops trying to arrange Vegas hotel room parties that would be perfectly legal a few miles away in another county.
