wendyhoo---Yes, we must always stay on our toes; be aware of our surroundings at all times, but since we have no control over other people or know what's in their hearts, I suggest you also stay on your knees in prayer.

beagodschild---You know what's funny about people who blame God for every bad thing and not Satan?...they don't even acknowledge that there is a devil!...to do so is an admission that there is a place called Hell...and we have all heard stories about that place! Ouch!

mocaleo---Thank you. My feelings exactly.

GunOwnerDan-you picked a bad time to tout your beliefs. This woman was not 'unacccompanied at odd hours' nor was she in a dangerous place- she was in a Target parking lot at 7:00 in the evening!

Real, honest to goodness, perfect justice will not be served until it is turned over to the Universal Judgement Division...meaning higher powers. I know that sounds flimsy and weak but until you can even be willing to leave the judgement and punishment to that higher power...all you essentially do is keep that poetic-type justice in a vice-grip and out of reach from being turned loose on this creature. But there is a time and a place for everything and the right now we need to vent and be pi..ssed and wish all the most painful and awful of things happen to him. And then we need to be willing to release and let the Universal Order take over. What happens to him will be a personal hell for him...something we could not imagine would be effective because we operate from a place where we choose things we would consider most awful. The Universe operates from HIS personal fears and terrors and will provide exactly what is needed to make him understand what he did was an abomination. He robbed us of a light that might have gone on to do something so magnificent for the world that life would forever be a better place for having had her working here. We will never know. He needs to be punished severely...but in a way that hits a nerve in him so painful and intense it will give us no joy to watch him suffer the consequences. If it gives you joy, you need to question where you are in learning this universal lesson...what goes around comes around.

I feel for the family of this beautiful young girl. It is just unfortunate that true justice will not be served. I can tell you what we would do to this guy in Texas!!!

Now that this story has become the main news story, the media needs to show restraint in reporting the details of her death. The family is going through enough and does not need any additional grief nor does by leaking information assist in the conviction of the killer.

KanHio----Should he live then?....since we do not want to be on his level? Just because he acted like an animal doesn't mean we are on his level. It's called justice. What he did is called murder. Simple. He will actually receive more consideration in the courts because he has rights than he gave her. Do you realize that we do have to answer to the authorities over us? We live in a sinful world full of evil. That's the way it is. He will be punished because he killed a human being. Alas, there are all kinds of crazies in the world!...some are bleeding hearts. Must we suffer the likes of you too?

"We live in a world where more and more women are unaccompanied at odd hours, or they are vulnerable in dangerous places - a world where restraining orders are often ineffective and the police cannot be counted upon to arrive in time, if at all. In such a world, women must be able to protect themselves. In terms of both deterrence and lethal force, guns are among the most effective tools available for self-defense."
-- Mary Zeiss Stange, "Guns, like abortion, are a matter of choice"

"In being confronted by the reality that government cannot and will not guarantee my personal safety, I am infinitely thankful, both as a woman and an American, that the Bill of Rights still guarantees my right to defend myself with a gun. Any true feminist must support this position. Any woman who claims to be a feminist, but who supports disarmament of law-abiding citizens is simply a dangerous hypocrite."
-- Katherine von Tour, "My Transformation From Anti-Gun Feminist To Armed Feminist"

Always be aware of your surroundings and always be prepared!
