Oh, so it's 'good' to have this being discussed out in the open now, and we 'need' to legalize it?
WHAT the H311 kind of statement is that?

Assisted-suicide is MURDER, plain and simple. I don't care what anybody here has to say about it, it is murder. You can't just 'change a law' and make it magically 'not' murder.

Based on comments about the death penalty, "gun laws" and the war in Iraq, Conservatives are definitely pro-death.

So tell me, how do gun laws work if they are not enforced, beings you brought it up??

The two nuts at Columbine broke 17 laws on the books in that state before the even got to the school, so, probably according to you, if their were 18 laws it would have made a difference??

If he doesn't have the money to live on, and can't work, may I suggest he 'take some of his own medicine' and decrease the surplus population.

Only if you make all 'illeagles' do the same thing.

Stick around Jack! I will probably need you in a few years, cirrhosis can get that way.

Reading all the comments, some pro some con some on the fence, at least, thanks to Dr. Jack Kevorkian, we are talking about it. Now we need action to have it legalized and of course regulated by the medical people. Terminally ill and in great pain would be first on a list working down to folks who will never be well enough to have a quality life and want to end it. Age to give permission should be about 21 and up or parent permission if younger. Probably a panel of Doctors (male and female) at hospitals would have the last word.

Jack Kevorkian may have messed up the message and been the wrong messenger. To see a parent die by inches and needlessly suffer in his last days because someone was afraid that pain medicine would kill him was a stupid thing I will always remember. We know that some of Kevorkians victims may have been too depressed to make rational decisions, but haven't we been dealing with the issues of mental illness in this country lately as well? Seems to me we need to tackle these issues head on. Just like medical pot, we are saving patients from what?
