First of all. The primary reason this President is considered to be the "worst President" ever (which btw isn't true. Abraham Lincoln was so hated by the public that he was shot) is that the masses only believe television and cheap misused headlines such as this one "Bush: Iraqi, Afghan Wars, 'Our destiny'" His actual speech says that ending a war and making sure the price we paid was worth that war is our destiny. During the civil war in Petersburg over 600 men lost their lives in seven minutes. Do you think the masses at that time thought that an acceptable price? Of course not. 2851 Soldiers have died in Iraq since the beginning of the war. Any death of a soldier is sad and unfortunate. But if the public had gotten their way during Lincoln's time, would we still have slavery and two Americas now? Don%u2019t slam your leader because you disagree with him. According to the public, Abraham Lincoln was wrong, an imbecile, hated with bitter hatred, and publicly slandered. Aren%u2019t you glad he stood up for what he knew was right? If he caved, the black man who wants me to sign the petition for bringing troops home now outside the grocery store might not have been able to exercise his right of free speech. Think about that.

Nope. Just for con artist--and like all con artist, they tell the gullible what they want to hear, then throw them sucker punches that make them wish they had never, ever associated with the cons.

With any luck, it will one day stand for convicts also. (at least for the ones we can hold accountable--the rest just whistle and pretend like they never supported Bush)

"This is our country's calling," Mr. Bush said. "It's our country's destiny."

Wow. What happened to democracy?

Anybody remember seeing "We will go to war whenever possible to further the goals that I define." advertised as a plank in the Republican Party platform in 2000 or 2004?

Wow.

Not our destiny, rather Bush's destiny. When he dies and is before St. Peter he'd better have a really good reason for all the death he caused. "Weapons of Mass Destruction" isn't going to work up there, either.

Have a nice, warm eternity there, Mr. Soon-To-Be-Ex President!

Not OUR destiny, Mr. Bush, but rather your legacy.
What is Mr. Bush doing on hallowed ground anyway? That ground has been set aside for war dead, not for draft dodgers. Better to have sent Cheney - oops - another draft dodger.

RU Kidding - ARE YOU KIDDING??????????? Florida DID NOT vote for Bush. The Supreme Court gave it to him. His brother the governor gave it to him. The Attorney General gave it to him. His CRONIES gave it to him. He did NOT win Florida any more than he won the rest of the country.

Bush said, "Our duty is to ensure that its outcome justifies the sacrifices made by those who fought and died in it."

%u201CDon%u2019t let them die in vain!%u201D That is the same rhetoric that was used during Viet Nam. That was the same kind of empty talk that Napoleon used to keep his troops on the battlefield. It is just spin, and has no basis in the politics of the occupation of Iraq, or the failure of the permanent %u201Csurge%u201D. In fact our (meaning we the people) duty, is to apply common sense and good judgment where pure greed has overtaken sensibility, and deceit has become the vehicle of justification

R-U-Kidding,

You will soon discover the facts do not get in the way of a good posting on this site...especially today.

You can find the same drivel on MoveOn.org, Daily Kos, Alex Jones, Air America, Rosie, Maher, Olbermann...it's all frothing hysteria from the radical left.

Which, BTW resembles the hysterical right when Clinton was in office. Same content, different people claiming the same myths.

Very entertaining.

This President feels it's the destiny of the American poor to spill their blood occupying this land of dirt and rocks. He doesn't mention that his cronies and corporate america are destined to get filty rich while the troops die.

Bush only protecting his investments and his wealthy friends. He does not care what happens to this country and all US citizens. His wife has a resort in Mexico and his father has many investments with oil companies. So what else is there? Wake up America%u2026and elect someone who cares about normal people in this country.

I agree, and to an even deeper level.

Go read the posts under the Cindy Sheehan article. Bush didn't steal the election, those types gave it to him, and those types are supporting him and supporting him.

The ugliness of this administration and its direct and indirect impacts on our wonderful country well deserves the word Tragedy and as long as the Bush supporters have the liberals and the middle east to blame, nothing will get any better.

I am just as sad for them as myself, they too will have to live in this new world they are creating for the rest of us. I don't think they are going to like it any more than we will.

I now understand how easy it will be for the Anti-Christ to take over the globe.

Bu$h's "destiny" is to spend the rest of his days clearing brush on his cush multi-million dollar ranch in Texas.

Our "destiny" as a nation is to spend, at least, the next decade cleaning up the damage caused by the worst President in U.S. history.

Waynabq, do you really believe GW "stole" the election? Get real. Have you ever heard of the Electoral College? The President doesn't have to win the popular vote to win the Electoral College. Since FL voted for GW, he got all of their electoral votes.

You want to talk about stealing elections, how about the Daley family in Chicago....remember how they had people voting from their graves to elect JFK???
