No big shocker when the average illegal husband and wife pop out 15 kids.

Last time I checked, this article DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE THING TO DO WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

It's just a simple report, showing how this country is becoming slightly more diverse. I love how people with agendas turned it into an illegal immigration debate.

It's just funny how people read this article, which was meant to show how diverse we are as a country (which is a good thing - sorry all you racists out there!), and people immediately became threatened by it. For the love of God, go make your comments on the "Bipartisan Immigration Deal Reached" message board.

Diversity is a good thing! Illegal immigration is not! There is a difference!

Congratulations! If your ancestors had not crossed over to the USA, you wouldn't be here. They have now made it easy for you and your family to work on a legal basis in this country. They too came here for land and opportunity? Cheap labor right? Well, I can't disagree with you either. I pay taxes too , so I am too, sensitive in that matter. But that does not mean that I only support the 'Mexicans' as you call them, I also support the job-less, the racist and the ignorant.
I Guess you can Thank your lucky stars:)

Remember - of the remaining 2/3 "nonminoritiy" aka "white", half would be male, half would be female. Therefore, a white male comprising 1/3 of the population would also be considered a minority as well as the 1/3 white females.

So based on this argument, everyone is a "minority"
Isn't that great?? That means EVERYONE is a minority, and therefore the majority which means there are no minorities.
Makes as much sense as classifying people by race to begin with.

Comparing our immigrant ancestors to illegals is a flawed argument at best. There is a big difference between knowingly entering the country illegally and people who came over in the past when immigration was not as "controlled" as it is now. 100 years ago, mexicans crossing over the border would not be considered illegals because they were not breaking laws to do it and their decendants, today are legal americans, same as those whose ancestors immigrated from elsewhere.

Also, while the discussion here is mainly focused on mexicans, I would venture to say that they are not the only ones taking advantage of our open border to the south. For all we know, Osama Bin Ladin, himself could be directing Al Quada from a back room of a 7-11 in Big Bone Lick, KY. You all know the phrase of "hiding in plain sight", don't you?

We don't have control of our own borders and were at war with another country?
THAT bothers me way more than poor mexicans sneaking over the border trying to make a buck.
Why are people more worried about the mexicans than terrorists? I'm all for shipping the illegals out, but the other possibilities scare me more.

Why do politicians allow illegal immigration? Two words: Cheap labor.

"majority-minority"

Words actually reported by the "news".

I can't think of any logical response to a statement like that!

Other than, when will us white folk be able to call ourselves "minorities" and qualify for affirmative action and other benefits that the government gives to "minorities"? I pay the same level of taxes, I want some value for my dollar!

Your math is flawed.
Posted by RandalDS at 06:34 PM : May 17, 2007

Spoken like a true bean counter. Your thought process is flawed. If you're not bothered by a mere 10 to 12 million ILLEGALS is this country, then another 20, 30 or 50 million certainly won't matter to you, so why bother counting?

The point is this: 3/4 of all hispanics in this country can be attributed to ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. They total over 30 MILLION PEOPLE.

Ronald Reagan and George Bush can wave the AMNESTY wand over their illegal heads and automagically change them into "legal" immigrants, but that won't make them AMERICANS and don't expect people in this country to like what is going on.

QTIP---Quit Taking It Personal! Illegal or not-No one is here to attack you folks. This country talks so much about 'development' and moving forward! You are all so stuck in your countryisms. This country is not a White People Only country. Immigrants have been around for many, many years and you're just now noticing? As soon as you see someone busting their *** for a living, you're worried about what they're doing? Oh, and Yes, they are earning it, but not taking it from YOU. So many of you who DO have documentation to get ajob--DON'T. Welfare and food stamps are handed to you left and right. Get a job! Stop worrying about those who are employed.
