Comments on: Remembering Rev. Falwell, In His Own Words
Some Of The Late Moral Majority Founder's More Memorable Quotations

your entire post is oxymoronic.
it is filled with vile hateful - judgmental
opinions. It wishes your fellow human an awful
ending worse than those you comment on. It is also filled with self-gloatation and adoration that you are somehow virginal in humanitarian qualities... which we are to take your word for - after you have belched your disaproval of others disaproval... - Reply to this comment
- Today the world is rid of one of the most vile and evil predators of the 20th century. Jerry Falwell preyed on the poor and undereducated. I will never forget the ads he produced at the end of the century. "For a gift of only $40 we will send you this valuable phamplet entitled 'How you can survive the carnage of Y2K,"
Good riddance to a cancer upon humanity, and may you rot in hell! - Reply to this comment
- funny we had a conversation at work about this very issue a day before he died. To be a TRUE christian - you would literally have to give up everything of personal value to enter heaven.
Not one "pastor/priest/deacon/preacher" should ever have personal ownership of more than he least blessed congregation or community. If the congregant walks to church - the "christian leadership" should not own a car. ---
Well known that for every single penny you increase and prosper - a step away from heaven you go.... unless you are merciful and compassionate enough to give away more than you receive. Many wealthy were asked in the bible to do more - it is hypocritical to think that in today's blessed democracy that we would be asked to do even less. When God is dragged into putrid human politics as a "deciders" pawn, we have sunk very low. Hypocrasy - yes! Today's political preachers are profiteers and their message is salvation for YOU via homelessness and poverty (for your own good)... - Reply to this comment
- I am so glad that my life isn't filled with hatred and ill-will toward others. No, I don't condone what this man did, but the what I see on the comments on this story - and others - makes me truly sad. So many angry, hate filled people. Who are we to judge?? Oh, that's right.....the posters here are all "Holier than thou". I didn't mean to forget that nugget of information. I certainly hope all the negative people that wish horrid and painful deaths have SOME kind of happiness in their lives, other than the ill-will of people they don't like. If his death really made you that happy, you need to get out more.....

- Falwell was a pig and a bigot. His demise was the best news I heard yesterday. Now, if only God would also "call home" Mssrs. Robertson, Dobson, Marcus Lamb, Jimmy Swaggert, 'Dr.' Mike Murdoch, Peter Popoff, etc. we ALL will be better off.

- I am a Christian so I know that this ignorant, lying scumbag is now burning for all eternity in the fires of Hell. I almost feel sorry for the devil having to deal with Falwell.
I said "almost".
I wonder who Bush will get his spiritual guidance from now? Maybe the Teletubbies!

Really your a Christian I find that hard to believe I mean why would you say things like that to fellow Christians. I am a Christian too and you know what I would like to see you burn in hell you filthy stupid moronic scumbag! How is he Ignorant you filthy scumbag, How is he a liar you idiot, is he really any of these things? You don't deserve to go to heaven you filthy scumbag. If you really were a Christian you would not say mean things about him? Jerry Falwell was a man who said everybody was a sinner and because of that he would pray for everybody in the world and you would not thank him for praying for you! You did not like his prayer because you would not admit you were a sinner and if you were a Christian you would say you are a sinner that is one thing you have to accept to become a Christian.
P.S. Bush does not need guidance unlike Clinton he is a good Christian unlike Clinton you filthy piece of ***! - Reply to this comment
- Jerry Falwell was a bible beating bunco artist. He saw an opening to make money in evangelism and he grabbed it and drained it (and his flock) dry. He'd better pray there really isn't a God, because if there is then he's roasting in hell for sure.

Spoken like a true Bushie, Falwell-loving American facist (Christian Taliban). Congratulations! You have won the "Neocon talking points" award for naming yet another expression of views that you don't like "terrorism". Welcome to your Fascist state. Enjoy the stay (so long as your masters allow you). Stupid F**king fool. LMFAO as this "terrorist" shows you that our freedom won't be taken by scum lovers like you (exhibit A: my gun up your a**.... click). - Reply to this comment
- With all the hatred I see here, it's a wonder that there aren't more shooting incidents in our country than we already have. Our culture is reeking with the acid anger I see right here. It's no wonder that the US is the murder capital of the world. Shakespeare was right when he wrote "The evil that men do lives after them; the good is interred with there bones."

- burgguy1967, better go check your facts a bit closer. He has been in trouble several times for indiscriminate activities. He has lived a very high life style on poor peoples donations, he always preached that god needed their support for his churches, why would a god need money? I know that you think he meant it for Roberts churches but if the christian god is soooooo interested in us knowing "him", when is "he" going to have time to know us? Religious people I have known & treated mostly for drug & alcohol abuse have had at best, a seventh grade education and full of the spirit and then some. People use religion to get money, votes ie see current administration, he talks to god all the time and is still allowed to walk around unmedicated, religion is used for strict control of the masses, this much I do know for a FACT. There is a god, but not what you or anyone else thinks it is.

- We should no more grieve for Falwell than Jews grieved for Mengele or Himmler. The only sad thing is that he died far too peacefully.

- A champion of Christ has gone on to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A giant of a Christian leader, who would show the love of Christ in forgiving all those unsaved people who left such rude comments on this board. May the LORD God Almighty bless Jerry Falwell and his family FOREVER! The church grieves tonight because there is one less light shining the Gospel message to a hurting humanity who so desperately need to know their Savior.
