All this about searching children and metal detectors, I didn't see anything in the story to indicate any weapons were used or found.

Could have been a couple of students who had exams today and were not prepared and needed a way to get out of them.

I think it's time everyone wake up and smell the coffee! Parents - it's your job to know what your kids have hiding in their room, your garage, cars, backpacks, etc. You need to look and need to ask questions, and don't ever stop doing it. School Officials - When are you going to install metal detectors in EVERY SCHOOL AND COLLEGE?? I would be willing to pay a bit more for school tax to be sure the kids were safe-taxes are increased anually anyway. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't know what my child has in his room or in his backpack, and believe me, I don't snoop - I work with him on homework and spend time in his room while he's there - Time to make some REAL CHANGES on the part of everyone. GREAT JOB CAFETERIA WORKER and SCHOOL OFFICIALS for taking action!

Does anyone notice that mitch0927 is trying to say something that only makes sense to him? Is there something you're trying to get across because all it sounds like to me is some crazy random thoughts so far. Some of the other responses are addressing the subject but mitch0927 has something weird to say. There are so many weird people in the world and they are all afraid of other people. They start dreaming up crazy ideas. How can anyone know what the day holds or what's in the heart of the person next to you. So many people are ate up inside. Turn away from this insanity before it's too late. Seek help whether it's from a doctor or God. Take good advice. Don't end up like the nuts we see everyday.

It's a shame our Children can't even go to School without worrying if they'll make it home that night.
Folk's just don't talk any more, when they stopped making front porches people started drifting apart. When i was a kid if i did something wrong my Mother knew about it before i got Home. When i was a juniorin H.S. i walked down the hall with a .22 rifle to refinish & blue in shop, back then no one ever gave it a second thought.I think we should take a look at how Younger Kid's spell love...Time.thats all they want from us.
Thank's

I graduated from high school in the late 70's and stuff like this NEVER happened where I went. Maybe because back then parents disciplined their kids when they needed it and not fearfull that little Johnny would turn his parents in for abuse cause he got his butt kicked. Now its time out little Johnny from your Ipod, cell and Mp3. I had a time out between the left and right foot and I love my parents and they only corrected me when I did wrong. Oh and it wasn't abuse.

It is a shame kid's can't go to School any more without worrying if they'll make it home when School's out or if someone will shoot them for there shoe's or jacket.
Of course when i was in School we either fought it out or our dad's would've had our hides.
My Junior year in High School,i walked down the hall carrying a .22 rifle to refinish & blue in shop, not one person thought anything of it then.
All folks are afraid of everything these day's they don't talk to each other cause they're afraid of what others will think.
If i did anything in the neighborhood that was wrong,my Mother knew about it before i got home.
we all need to look out for one another,& for God's sake spend time with these kid's,that's whats most important to them.
