Those who resort to using profanities, display to all, their complete lack of intellect, and the weakness of any argument they put.
"But the death rate per capita has no basis in this argument. The rate at which home invasions climbed after their strick gun control laws were passed does. If a criminal knows you are defenceless then you will become a victom, if the criminal has to wonder whether I have a Gun in my belt he may think twice, and if he does not? to bad for them."
You are correct in part only there, but that is all.
Since the introduction of our stricter gun control laws, not gun ban laws, as some people in your country mistakenly believe, our gun related death rate has fallen dramatically, that is an indisputable fact.
Yesterday at our Latrobe university in Melobourne, we had in a crowded canteen, one student stab another with a knife, the stabbed student though in a serious condition is still alive, though a hypothetical question, if the perpertrator had been armed with a gun, is it not possible, that one at least, and maybe more would have died.
I also respect the fact that you do not lower yourself to profanities etc.
I have to go out for a while this morning, if you reply to this I shall attempt to catch up later, however that will be rather late in your neck of the woods. - Reply to this comment

- Copy cat. It is the break down of the young. It is dumb to kill over what is not theirs. It is pupils of age who oaght know better. I don't think having stonger gun laws would stop a person bent on hurting/killing others. I have never played the visual games that are so unfit to play.
Those are the ones that warp the mind. If a person suffers from mental illness, those games glorise killing and the like are unfit for them to play .They play for hours. It must do some thing to the mind. - Reply to this comment
- rheola,
I have to say at least you have the intelligence not to have to use profanity every other word.
"The gun related death rate in Australia is way below that of the U.S. on a per capita basis."

And plus you never had a valid argument for Florida and the other 30+ states!!!!!

- Why are people always comparing GUN crime rates in the U.S. versus other countries? Wouldn't it be more accurate to compare TOTAL crime rates? I mean, in some countries MACHETES are being used very effectively as a weapon.
