- Imus deserves every penny because he should never have been fired in the first place. He was simply doing his job - to be shocking. His show was so much fun, not offensive to me and I'm a woman. Everyone needs to lighten up with the political correctness and focus on important things. CBS rushed to judge when the girls from Rutgers forgave and moved on...as they realized this is a good, decent man doing a job.

- Imus is going to be richer now than before he got fired. Al and Jessie did him a favor. Sorry, but I don't feel bad for rich guys who get fired. I feel bad for guys who work for a company for 30 years only to find out there is no retirement money because of corporate greed and lousy management.

- The people who listened to Imus actually have money to spend on new GM vehicles, P&G products, use our Amex cards, etc. not Sharpton's paid protesters. The advertisers would have come back to Imus if CBS hadn't overreacted and simply let the marketplace decide his fate. His fans weren't going anywhere. I'm so glad they're going to have to pay him because he did not deserve to be fired.
It's interesting to note that Les Moonves, who fired Imus, is married to Julie Chen who hosts the Big Brother, not to mention hosts a show that was competition to Imus' show. Such hypocrisy. Imus raised millions for charities and spends all his free time running a Ranch for Kids with Cancer. - My husband and I are talking about suing too because our mornings are ruined w/out IMUS (class action suit anyone?). Just kidding but that is how upset we are about his firing. We listened to him for over 15 years and he was a part of our daily lives. I am not a morning person but he made me one because I hated to miss his show.

- Al Sharpton needs to contact Proctor & Gamble because a lot of us in the autistic community are protesting their decision to let us down by pulling out on Imus, our champion. Imus used his show for tremendous good. Al Sharpton is not as powerful as he thinks and if/when Imus comes back, and he better because our mornings stink without him, we will welcome him without any changes. He did not offend his listeners, the ones who counted - he was making a joke and people need to stop being so politically correct and lighten up. I have an autistic child and let me tell you, people are mean to him all day long and we tell him to keep his sense of humor and move along in life. At least we know Imus will not spend his $40 million frivolously but on helping our children and our soldiers - you KNOW Sharpton or Jackson would not do the same.
