Anti-Gay Religious Group Known For Protesting At Services For U.S. Soldiers Killed In Iraq
- Topeka Kansas? whitepages.com; why not go and protest in front of their homes since they make such an effort to go and disrespect others.
These people are the most vile and despicable type of "extremists." Taking advantage of other people's grief to gain attention for your backwards religious beliefs is absolutely rediculous. They claim to be Christians but they are not. By condemming others and not respecting people they have condemmed themselves to whatever form of hell awaits people like them. A hell where they will be surrounded for eternity with the very people that they claim to be against. I ask that the law does not acknowledge them in whatever town they show up in but turn their heads and let the towns people, who elected those leaders into office, remove them by whatever means necessary. - Reply to this comment
- "Who does this group think they are? Can't the families grieve in peace? How dare them judge others. Apparently they have no idea what a true Christian is anyways. How pathetic and may God help these pitiful souls. And may God forgive them for judging others and disturbing these families!"
Yet another example of ignorant hypocriticism. May God forgive you for judging them as well. - Reply to this comment
- "Fundamental Christians take note. The WBC is your child, born from your theology, your world view and your pedagogy. Intolerance must be carefully taught; and they have learned well."
Anyone who chastises intolerance fails to see the inherent flaw in their own logic. You yourself are being intolerant of their right to believe in exclusive truth.

- Someone said they have no right to do this, but the general foolishness of the American people is overwhelming. The protestors actually DO have the right to offend people. It is specifically offensive speech which the constitution protects. Speech which doesn't ruffly anyone's feathers doesn't need constitutional protection. Further, the vast majority of posts here are hypocritical people saying "I believe in the bible and those *** are going to hell for this! Who are they to judge if the VT victims are going to hell?" Am I truly the only one enlightened enough to realize this? Or is it that my proponents are afraid to speak up because of the imminent retribution from the ignorant masses?
As a great man once said, "I may not agree with what they say, but I will defend to the death their right to say it." - Reply to this comment

- I agree with what Mr. Dahn said: %u201CThirty-three people are dead and they%u2019re using people%u2019s deaths and people%u2019s grief to further their own agenda and it%u2019s just disgusting.%u201D But I wonder if he would apply that to what Rosie O's recent comments on her show about the NRA? But then, Rosie doesn't deride or look down on others who don't share her point of view - oh, wait. . . But Rosie doesn't say things that many people think are outrageous and offensive and clearly cross a line - oh, wait . . .But Rosie doesn't hang out at funerals! Ah hah! Good enough, right?

- WBC to appear on Mike Gallagher's National radio show, Tuesday, April 24, from 9:00am-noon in lieu of picketing Virginia Tech funerals.
Saved by the power of national radio.....
On another note, I'm not so sure there is a hell. With devils like Fred Phelps, we must already be in hell.

- This is COMPLETELY INSANE!!! What is this world coming to when people make these comments about such a tragedy? If the Westboro Baptist Church had any decency they would have never said anything like that. I think they should go onto the campus of Virginia Tech and try to send out their message. I am sure they would not be walking back out. I am not saying that violence would solve anything but they should go see what the other students, faculty and parents have to say to them. If we have to hear their ignorant rants then they should hear what we have to say!!!!

- This group is no more Christian than the Nazi's or Muslim extremists that condemn without evidence or reason, everyone and everything.
" 'Our Father... forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us', except when we so desire to do otherwise and pass judgement of our own beliefs without regard to Your will, for thine is our kingdom, not Yours, forever and ever, Hail Hitler."
There is absolutely no reasonable belief a demonstration like this serves any religious, political, or public purpose, and the intent is to clearly create controversy and incite emotion. These people need to be stopped and if they persist then arrested for inciting a riot! - Reply to this comment
- I don't see the exhibition of Wisdom, Love, or Peace in one who would interupt an ocassion set aside for broken hearts to grieve. A spirit-filled person would recognize and not cause confusion. I am not speaking of religion, but rather spirituality. Folks, I am not the judge...God judges the heart, which man cannot see. Consider this though...God is not the author of confusion. Appears that these folks are following the one that is the author of confusion--the Devil.

- TRUE Christians don't HATE anyone. Hate the sin not the sinner

Jesus was not a Christian because he spent time with sinners. True Christians hate sinners and if it was legal we would stone them in the town square.- Reply to this comment
- This bunch of loonies are nothing more than the devil at work!
Christian's are god fearing and loving people, and would never endorse such actions by anyone. If this group were such good christian's, the only thing they would be thinking about right now is praying for all the students/faculty and families that are suffering from this terrible tragedy.
To march or protest at any of these funerals or at Virginia Tech should be considered a crime and everyone of them that intends to do so should be locked up with the likes of other people like Cho Seung-Hui. Maybe then they could see who was sent by God to punish those he killed for their moral decline! - Reply to this comment
- According to this insane logic, Jesus would not qualify to be a christian.

- Okay, so if you follow this group's logic, if you get killed by someone, you aren't a Christian, because God doesn't let things like that happen to Christians. Hmmm, I hope they remember that when they finally make some grieving family member so uncontrollably angry that he or she shoots one of THEM. I guess that would blow a pretty big whole in their "theory", wouldn't it?
If they keep on provoking people who are overcome with grief, it's going to happen some day, and then what explanation are they going to have? - Reply to this comment
