Comments on: Global Warming Protests Held Across U.S.
More Than 1,300 Events Urged Congress To Require 80 Percent Cut In Emissions By 2050
- How much CO2 is being emitted pulling off all these demonstrations?
This is just another of many politically motivated doomsday events. If it was not, many questions would be answered.
Like why is it when I fill my glass with ice and water, it never flows over? In fact as it warms it eventually becomes empty! Maybe the water evaporates faster as it becomes warmer? And as more water evaporates into the atmosphere it usually leads to more rain or might we say less drought? Now, where I live more rain means more growth. What does this vegetation thrive on? Rain and CO2? What does it emit, oxygen?
So if you really believe man is causing global warming, why don't you ask how many trees you need to plant instead of spewing out political CO2?
Incidentally, I believe just about everything is very complicated to algore. - Reply to this comment
- Oh and one more cannard that the GW alarmist use consistantly when science gets in the way of their mis-information march....
...the OIL COMPANIES are paying them!!
That let's them off the hook so they don't have to answer the challenge to their hysteria.
Of course they conveniently leave the fact that most scientist are on the government nipple through grants and to say there is little to be alarmed about and institute reasonable environmental solutions and conservation, would be to cut one's throat.

OK, I call you on your BS. Provide the citation for the 18,000 scientists that dispute global warming.

The Oregon Petition is the name commonly given to a petition opposed to the Kyoto protocol, organised by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM) between 1999 and 2001, shortly before the United States was expected to ratify the protocol. Professor Frederick Seitz, the past President of the National Academy of Sciences, wrote a cover letter endorsing the petition.
The Oregon Petition was the third, and by the far the largest, of five prominent efforts intended to show that a "scientific consensus" does not exist on the subject of global warming. The total number of signatures received was said to be 19,700.

Also, atmospheric CO2 concentration has increased about 40% since the start of the Inudstrial Revolution. That is emperical data. THAT IS FACT. - Reply to this comment

Your argument reminds me of the con position on Iraq:
"It's going really well, but the media refused to report the good stuff. They just want to talk about all the people dying..." - Reply to this comment
