Has anyone seen a supporter of Al Sharpton on this blog. Loved the comment by styx07. I also beleive Sharpton and Jackson make the skinheads feel superior. They are not battling racism they are feuling it.

Im pissed at Galaxo Smith Kline apharmacutical company who is happy to promote products that have a 10 to 20 percencent improvement over placebo and make billions. They shoud support a mans recovery from drugs and alcohol. They should have experts who understand the psychology of the dry drunk in recovery what I call a brain ***. Those of us in medicine who deal with this see it all the time give the man a break. I intend to ban their reps from my office

"but one guy says one bad comment,"

You think he's made only one bad comment?

Perhaps you should learn more about who you are defending before you post on any comment board.

Maybe all of the Imus supporters would like Imus and Michael Richards to pair up so that they could make you bigots laugh at and insult people of color, Jews, and women.

I suppose that would make your day.
You'll go out and protest that but won't do anything to stop the war in Iraq.

Oh, call Sharpton and Jackson. I am watching HBO, and there was a black comedian on there, and he said the n-word 5 times in one joke or skit, to a mixed audience. Everyone laughed, black, white, all! I think you should pull the sponsors, kick him off the network, and ask for an apology. Double standards discredit your ethics!!!!!!

New rules: Jackson and Sharpton can say, do anything they want, crusade countless idiotic ideas, degrade whites, jews, etc, extort money from companies in the name of equality, but one guy says one bad comment, and these fakes, shames, uncredible, RACIST punks can scream the race card loud enough and get him fired. Too bad, the black community cant see that these guys have to make racism happen or they are out of a job, so they have to keep division in society, or there will be no need for them. Too bad, these liberals cant seem to find free speech at a time like this. (And I dont even like Imus) But i love my free speech.

I can't believe so many of you think that Imus should not have been fired. Too much "Shock Jock" stuff is out there for too long. Hopefully other radio and television stations will take notice.
CUTE remark from you mmelsha1.

I think this is a terrific case of the double standard. I don't see rappers getting censored for degrading black women.

Since when is %u201Cnappy headed%u201D a racist term? I know quite a few individuals from other nationalities that have similiar hair traits. His remarks were sexist and I agree with suspended him but firing him is going too far. If the remarks were turned around and directed towards white or other nationalities we would have never heard this story or the punishment would never had been so severe.

I would answer that question with a YES. It would be just as offensive and disrespectful.

Can it not be that this arrogant "n*****"-spouting *** (Google "60 Minutes" and "Imus," and learn something), who's had such great fun with Amos-n'-Andy-quality "black" impersonations and simian references (such as Clarence Page decried right to Imus' face), just LOVES demeaning black people?

Why does it really matter what Don Imus said? Look at Don Imus, if anyone knows about nappy heads, surely Imus knows. All this mess was stirred by Sharpton and Jesse, who seem to get their rocks off by being on television. So what if somebody calls you a "word" so what. If you are one, be proud of it, if you are not, realize you are not and brush it off. It's a choice to be offended or not. All this race mess has gone to far. Next thing you know we will be asking for the Woody Harrelson/Wesley Snipes movie "White Men Can't Jump" to change the title because it is offensive and racial motivated against whites.

If you're offended at the offense (and never really cared what sort of low-down insults other whites hurled at blacks; and maybe even got a good "this is bad" belly-laugh), what does that make YOU?

Mr.Imus apologized .. The Women of Rutgers have forgiven Mr.Imus .. CBS was too hasty in firing Mr.Imus. How quickly we forget .. all the things that these people ..Al Sharpton , Rev Jackson .. have said without such backlash.. and now what about Snoop Dogs comments .. disgusting .. but, Mr. Imus is crucified for making a mistake ..Mr. Imus I will miss listening and watching. I hope to be able to hear you very very soon again .. Julie

In 1997, Imus carelessly told a 60 Minutes staffer off-mike that Bernard McGuirk, his program producer, was tapped to do "n***** jokes." Mike Wallace exposed this incriminating usage in his 60 Minutes profile. Trapped in a Mark Fuhrman moment, what did Imus do? He lied, that is, he denied the staffer's word. When Wallace redoubtably called Imus' bluff on camera, Imus partially relented, insisting that his remark was off the record but nonetheless failing to apologize.

It has been reported that the Rutgers BB team has received death threats.

Is this the mindset of a typical Imus supporter?

Clinton got death threats because of Lewinski.

So what. Nobody ever denied there are racist pigs in the world. They come in all colors.

Thats why we have to stop this kind of *** from happening, it feeds racism.

Imus had every right to say what he did as any black comedian on HBO Comedy Central does.

When we allow these statements to be justified, for any reason, then no one should be persecuted for saying them.

PLEASE DO A RESEARCH. THE WORD cracker IS GIVEN TO ALL POLICE OFFICER'S NO MATTER THE RACE.
Posted by proud2bblack

Tell me the sky is falling, so what. We both know its a lie. cracker is a white person. Till you see the white of thier skin, eh? Ferrakhan is significant too, do a bit of research on racism.

Before a City College audience in New York, Farrakhan warns: "The white man is our mortal enemy, and we cannot accept him. I will fight to see that vicious beast go down into the late of fire prepared for him from the beginning, that he never rise again to give any innocent black man, woman or child the hell that he has delighted in pouring on us for 400 years."
