Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong Faces Ethics Violations, Disbarment
- North Carolina Rep. Walter Jones has called for a federal investigation of his handling of the duke lacrosse case.
"What Mr. Nifong has done, in my opinion, is just trampled on the constitutional rights of these young men," says Jones.
The Afro-American & White Community were being politically exploited and manipulated by a couple of Black Reverends who RUSHED to town to preach the only Gospel that they know. That is, Politics, Hate, Racism, & Bigoty instead of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.

These two along with the heads of CBS have just done the same thing to Imus. They need to be called to account for this. (but they won't)

- Sleepy sheeple, time to wake up. Crack a history book and reference 1930's Germany. The brownshirts there started by intimidating anyone who didn't speak or behave in the manner they deemed acceptable. Fast forward and see the brownshirts in America that swarm to any "offender" they want to have silenced. They call for their boycott and firing. Notice how quick CBS buckled and fired Imus directly after meeting with Sharpton? Notice that CBS can't even report on the facts of this case? What's next???

- "I feel like we're religious people, yet in my heart I have little room for forgiveness."
Kevin Finnerty, father of Collin Finnert."
This is a very sad time in American History. Our PRAYERS go out for ALL - EVERYONE that has been affected & involved with this scenario. Duke, The State of NC & All across this Great Nation of ours.
It soon became clear that Ms Crystal Gail Mangum, The Afro-American & White Community were being politically exploited and manipulated by a couple of Black Reverends who RUSHED to town to preach the only Gospel that they know. That is, Politics, Hate, Racism, & Bigoty instead of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
I'm sorry folks but we see this happening in America over & over again. The American People deserve BETTER than this. We know better ourselves and there's nothing wrong to expect the same from those leaders elected, nonelected, appointed to represent us.
As long as these individuals continue to receive special funding from special interest groups it will not cease.
I don't know about you all but it is time to put aside these mean-spirited politics and get back to doing the work of the American People. Amen

- Of course CBS News still won't publish this accuser's name - Crystal Gail Mangum (reference FoxNews, a real news channel), because they are treating her as though she is STILL the victim here. The top wonks at CBS must pay tribute to the high "priests" Sharpton and Jackson and keep their mouths shut. C'mon bring back Dan Rather, at least he was fun to laugh at when he misreported the news on CBS!

- These young men were very, very fortunate. As an experienced criminal defense attorney, I can tell you that these types of false criminal charges are NOT that uncommon. I have won many, many cases (and lost some) that prosecutors should never have brought because of phony evidence. What IS uncommon here are the many severe, obvious problems with this case against them, the heavy publicity and the fact that the case was reviewed by a very honorable Attorney General who was willing to publicly announce the truth. None of this is typical. Many government prosecutor types would refuse to call this BS case for what it was, even if they ultimately dismissed it. My hats off to him. My guess is that these young men also had very good criminal defense attorneys too, which is probably one important reason that there were so many problems demonstrated publicly with the case. Had they had public defenders, its much less likely that the attorneys would have been as skillful in using the media to help bring out the truth. By itself, this media use is very important to success. I will be surprised if Nifong is not disbarred after this.

- I was not surprised to see Jesse Jackson rush to the side of the black woman doing the accusing in this case. What a shame. Before knowing the facts, he felt he was in the right to defend this woman of his own color. Jesse, slap yourself in the face...how many times is it going to take you to realize that you, as a so called reverend should not RUSH to judgement??? Two men here just trying to get in the public eye and then getting egg on their face.. Loving it!!!! Also, Amen to the Rutger's womens basketball team- I am so happy to see IMUS getting the boot. Next, Howard Stern!!!!

I guess you haven't seen Janet Jackson lately. - Reply to this comment
- Diana Ross????? Have you seen Leona Horne, Diane Carrol, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Pam Grier, Patti LaBelle, etc., etc., why use Diana Ross as an example. She doesn't exemplify beauty postured by women of color. And let's not forget Arab, Chinese, Native American, East Indian, Japanese, Brazilian, Mexican, Caribbean, women, etc., etc., etc. Diana Ross is a poor example representing "women of color", or even black women.

every female of any race gets stuff done to them WHY again to appease the male - too bad some men out there don't do the same
I would like to know why men can't accept a women for whom she is - why you want someone who looks like a stick with tons of make up....
natural is so much better..... and trust me, you can get a mate - and a fine one at that - without all the artificial *** - Reply to this comment
- yes there are many colors - and mixed at that
but seems like the issue here is black and white
all colors are beautiful and as they say, beauty is only skin deep - it's whats inside that counts but too many can't get past the outside to look in. - Reply to this comment
- Are you kidding? Have you see Diana Ross lately.

- Yes, but you don't see women of color deliberately committing mass-transmogrification on their bodies to look like someone totally different than themselves.
Yes, all women use makeup, but the only difference, women of color don't spend billions of dollars trying to re-capture their youth.
Likewise, they don't spend billions of dollars transmogrifying their bodies to resemble, what a majority of you classify as "ugly". Strange isn't, sounds like a oxymoron!!! - Reply to this comment
- Ohhh baby!
Swing and a miss. Wrong color dude!! You are aware the there are more than just black & white people in the world???? Unless all you can see is black & white. - Reply to this comment
- FARTKNOCKER2 you're probably one of those many suburbanites frequenting black communities scouting for drugs.
You know it takes one to know one.
I personally have never taken anything stronger than an aspirin. But, you on the other hand probably have had your share of illegal substances.
I willing to bet the reason you are in such an uproar over the "Duke Rape Scandal", is because you have been their done that, including committed "date rape". That's why you're vehemently defending this scum. How many young girls have you spiked their drinks with "roofies", only to have them awaken to your smelly drug crazed body violating them???? - Reply to this comment
- sorry - couldn't resist that one
black / white all natural colors
women use makeup because men want that
they want women no matter what color to be anything but themselves... primped and primed - Reply to this comment

- Methadone, how cute, considering, accordingly, this is a white man drug of choice, along with cocaine, speed, sniffing glue, etc. etc. etc.
So, it seems to me you're the one who better hurry right down to that methadone clinic and get your "free fix". Statistically there are higher or greater percentage of whites that are hooked on drugs than blacks. Who do you think plagues the inner cities searching for that "black drug dealers", white suburbanites.
And yes I agree with "free-speech", however, if a black commentator had made a vicious attack, for example, Miss America, if he had publicly said the white Miss America contestants are nothing more than a by-product of petroleum, "plastic". And the only real beauty is women of color, because their beauty is natural and not artificially enhanced through cosmetic[s]or cosmetic surgery.
Therefore, in regards to Imus statement, if white women are so "beautiful" then why do they take great pains in the mass-transmogrification of their bodies to resemble women of color, i.e. Collagen lips, tanning, etc. - Reply to this comment
- I think that th epresident of Duke University along with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should also have to Apologise to the students. Sharpton for his role in this travesty of justice and the president of Duke for suspending the students. Any law school will tell you that the person is innocent until proven guilty. they do have a fairly good law school at Duke. Maybe the president should attend a few classes there?
