Comments on: Mom's 110-Mph Car Chase Kills Her Baby
Texas Woman Leads Police On 25-Mile Chase; 9-Month-Old Thrown From SUV In Crash
- As a little side note here. Does anyone know why the head line says "speeds up to 110mph". Federaly it's against the law for police to drive over 110mph. Good job guys, you got her, so what if you had to kill her baby to do it. Keep up the good work ***holes.
That said, this woman should (and will) get manslaughter and a long long sentence to think about this poor child who totaly depended on her. - Reply to this comment
- I have to laugh at all who insist the cops did the right thing.
Instead of this infant being killed lets suppose it was you mother out shopping, your sister, your brother, wife, son , daughter that the police ran their cruiser into and killed.
I can see you at the casket spewing to friends how mom is dead but if she lived she would be happy to know the police finally stopped that reckless driver and gave her a ticket. - Reply to this comment
- Those cops and that township in Texas have got to pay. They knew there was an infant in that car. If they had the proper training they would have broken of that chase and that baby would still be alive. The mother obviously had no sense of what could happen.
I hope the grandparents get a good attorney and go after the City/state/and the cops personally. I also hope I am on that jury, those cops won't be killing any more baby's. - Reply to this comment
- And for the post below mine, I'd like to add, that most people are pretty stupid when it comes to day-to-day things. Women and men are equally bad drivers, but women seem to have this stereotypical "Don't tell me what to do! I'm independant! RAWR!" thing going. You've already won- Don't make it worse.
It's like almost all stereotypes: Half the time, when you try to stop them, you only make them worse. Just live with it and disprove it with your actions, not words, lawsuits, and whatever else you people can concoct.
Note that, by 'lawsuit', I mean the truly ridiculous ones, such as the woman that sued McDonald's for the coffee being too hot. All you can say to that is "No.. You really think so? Coffee? HOT!? Perposterous!". (Sarcasm)
Label me sexist, racist, or whatever else you people can make up.
I'll admit it: I'm a horrible person for any of those, but I'm proud of it.
(Don't bother responding, I'll probably check back, just to spite you. But if you must respond to my posts, at least you'll have the deluded sense of an accomplishment about you. - Reply to this comment
- Wow. Just wow.. First off, Don't triple post. Clicking the button once is more than enough in your case.
Second, what on earth was she being arrested for? I mean, I can understand running, but doing 110 with a 9-month old kid? Then you KNOW you've got problems. - Reply to this comment
- To closethippy. I suggest you stay "in the clost". I have never heard something soooo stupid in all my life. If women are such "bad" drivers then why are our insurance rates so much lower then men's? To make a statement like you just made shows what an idiot you are. You were probably driving like a jerk and came up behind a woman who was going the speed limit and obeying the laws but you were in hurry and NOT driving safely. You should move to Arabia you moron. Let me know if you need any help and I'll help you get there.

- Back to the subject of this article, this woman was already driving recklessly. To speculate about the vehicle being stolen or not is beside the point. The point is that SHE would have been going that speed regardless of the police being there, SHE chose not to stop, and SHE chose to have her child in the vehicle not strapped in. If that baby had been in a car seat, strapped in properly, the baby would have only minor injuries, not death.
This woman had the right to choose abortion on birth for her baby, just as she had the right to choose responsible driving or irresponsible driving. We are all responsible for our own actions. WE choose the choices for ourselves. You cannot have it both ways. There is no picking and choosing which time you will be responsible and which one I will. She chose and now must face the consequences.
Every action we take has a consequence, whether good or bad. To blame others for our actions is cowardice. Even my small children know that if you touch something hot you get burned, if you break a rule you get punished, if you hit your brother you cannot say "He made me do it." You and only you are responsible for YOUR actions. - Reply to this comment

- "Another thing to understand is that woman drive REAL bad. So can you tell if they are driving reckeslesslesly?"
"Women and cars, man, I tell you. Maybe Saudi Arabia is right about not letting them drive cars."
You have got to be kidding me! Do you have facts to back this up? Do you have a study showing proof? Through an unscientific study, I have found that out of my group of friends and family, the men tend to drive faster than the speed limit all of the time (at least 25 mph over the limit). The women tend to be more careful (usually cuz they don't want to be made fun of when they go into a ditch). The mothers in the group drive more carefully then the rest for the following reasons:
1.) Their children are in the car and the mothers are very aware of this fact.
2.) If the children are not in the car the mother thinks "If I get in an accident, who will take care of my children?"
I am sure there are other reasons as well, but to just go off and say that women are bad drivers? That would be as unfair as a statement from me saying that "All men are morons and drive recklessly". (That is not a true statement, for the record.) - Reply to this comment
