I said all three could have possibly died and in the story, it mentioned the little boy was found with a body temperature of 85 degrees. He was near death at that temperature. Yes, only one child died - which means only one murder or manslaughter charge if the mother is ever found and the circumstances were not beyond her control.

But I agree wholeheartedly with asor1. This woman needs help, not thousands of strangers judging her before any facts about her are known.

What she NEEDS is to keep her legs together. If she's going to keep getting knocked up, she needs to leave the babies at one of the designated locations so the child can have a life. It's just insane this woman has done this THREE times. The first two were very lucky to have been discovered in time.

The bible was written by men, for men and about men.... so what does this have to do with this story?

Look for woman who are confined, mentally handicapped or even in a coma, being assaulted by relative or caretaker, getting pregnant, and giving birth without help.
Occams razor, simplest explanation usually correct.
The babys are left because the assaulter has enough humanity left to not be able to bury a live baby, but that is about it.

I feel that it should be made mandatory, for any women contemplating a abortion to be given an ultrasound, After seeing that LIFE moving and thriving inside them, I don't know how anyone could go through with it.

You are correct about the Catholic Church... I am Catholic but I have seen the European base disappear and being replaced by third world cultures who expect the church to continue supporting them while their money is sent "back home" to their countries.

cjhr43, you are so right. Zero population growth was the mantra in the 60s and the intelligent, aware, socially conscious people achieved that goal. As a result the Rich People have opened the borders to get the cheap labor that makes then even richer. Now the hoards of breeding Catholic Indians from Mexico are achieving what an armed invasion would fail to achieve, they are (perhaps "have already") taking over the country. This isn't about race or class, this is about one nation invading and subdueing another country. Still, one must admit that the Pope is glad to see it happen. He heads a low class religion that can't think of any way to take over the world except by breeding it into submission.

Alright.

1) This story is not about abortion. It is about a woman who gave birth to three babies, and within 48 hours of giving birth, abandoned them. Yes, she did so in places where they would be found - but she did not do it safely. All three could have died (from the story, it seems like the little boy almost did) and she's lucky that, when she is found, she will only have one murder charge against her.

If she couldn't provide for these children, she could have gotten help. Or at least dropped the babies off at a hospital or police station.

But - (but!) has anyone thought that maybe this woman, or more likely girl, is in an abusive or hostage situation and that she did not get pregnant by choice and then the babies were taken from her immediately after birth by someone else (perhaps the father or fathers) and THEY left the babies somewhere?

It is not fair to judge the mother of these babies until she is found and all the facts are discovered as to why this would happen.

Despite anyone's personal views on abortion, to turn a discussion about this story into an abortion debate is highly disrespectful to those children.

Mainemade... its not "your body" we are concerned about. You CAN do whatever you want with it. Its the defenseless unborn child that has no "choice".

As a woman I am for Pro Choice. I will be damned if I am gonna let some Bureaucratic bullcrap or a Man tell me what I can or cannot do to or with my own body! Not gonna happen! Instead of letting the abortions go to waste, I feel they should push stem cell research! I can save lots of lives, with many different diseases! But no. Its apparently okay to kill kids in Iraq and other useless wars but not okay to have an abortion and maybe save someone with diabetes or give someone paralyzed a chance to walk. I just dont get it.

The real story is that the wrong people are practicing birth control. The responsible tax payers... educated part of society ... do not rely on another baby to increase their welfare checks at everyone else's expense. The "temporary income fix for unemployed workers" has turned into a way of life for too many people.

As a Prolife person, I do not like abortion, however, I feel that it is not my right to tell another what to do. I will pray for the children both living and dead, and hope that these women who do want abortions think long and hard before doing it. BUT, I DON'T WANT MY TAXES TO GO FOR ABORTIONS!!!
