HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT THEY ARE JUST POSSESSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY ARE MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY. THATS WHY THEY HAVE CRUELITY TO ANIMAL LAWS,NOT CRUELITY TO POSSESSIONS LAWS.. - Reply to this comment
- My dog had 2 seizures last month, she had never been sick a day in her life until last month. She is 3 ys old.Her food is on the list of recalled ones.I have 1 pouch left unopened with the upc code that matches the recalled ones.I also have a receipt where i bought 9 pouches,4 of which are recalled, but she already ate those and god knows how many more.I did blood work, and she doesn't have thyroid, diabeties, valley fever or anything that causes it,It was the food.I found out through the ASPCA website and many more that rat poision cause seizures.I am so greatful that she is alive, although she doesn't have the energy she once had.But it was unfair for the company to not tell us right away,I heard they knew about it for 1 month before they said anything.Thats not fair, look at all those that could have been saved, had we known.I filed a complaint with the FDA,and Menu Foods, and consulted a lawyer.WE ARE OUR PETS VOICE,IF WE DONT SPEAK FOR THEM,NO ONE CAN.May God watch over the pets that are lost and ill from this NIGHTMARE. god bless you all,and remember to speak up on behalf of your loved ones....

- This posting goes out to the sick F@#* "darkmeat4". You are one sick & twisted individual. Are you Hitler in a dress? Or are you on heavy drugs. Get with it ******** this is the year 2007. Your ignorance you posted to all people who classify their pets as chilren, that includes me! And you just insulted me! It's obisous you DON'T HAVE A HEART. If you can't say something nice to give comfort to others with broken hearts, then KEEP YOUR IGNORANT MOUTH SHUT!Because one day something will affect you, and you'll be looking for support, and trust me you won't get it from me ***!
You told Randy you were trying to do the right thing! LIKE WHAT! Show how you can be a cannibal! WE DID NOT DO THIS TO OUR PETS ***! MENU FOODS DID. We put our trust in them, and look at what they did, I sure in the hell didn't put this poison in there, neither did Randy or the other thousands of pet owners. Maybe you work for them! Hey! I call it like I see it. And you said a mouthful. darkmeat4 good name for you to, you have a cold "DARK" heart, and you probably are a cannibal. Remember your words you said "4" you are one sick F@&$. GET A LIFE, AND GET WITH THE YEAR 2007!

- The more I read these comments the more ANGRY I become over this situation!!!! How dare they put members of our families at risk like this!!! I can't believe that it has only been going on for a few months. My friend's mom's dog died in December from kidney failure and they told her she must have "gotten in to something." My fiancee's parents cat died in June from kidney failure and he was fine before that. I also wonder about the dry food~my puppy got sick a few months ago when I started giving her Beneful, which I read somewhere that was discovered to have mold in at about the time I started giving it to her. My fiancee had a good point regarding the peanut butter scare~who eats pb the most??? Kids!!! I hate to be paranoid, but what is going on in our world!!! I threw out the packages I had of the Nutro wet food since I figured I would never see a reimbursement in this lifetime~just glad I didn't give it to my dogs after they had gas and diarrea the first time!!! I hope everyone's pets recover!!! So sad to read!!

- For those who expressed an interest in the "speech" about Old Drum, it was not a speech per se. Old Drum was a dog wrongfully and willingly shot and killed by a neighbor in 1869 in Missouri. The dog's owner sued the neighbor for $150.00. Senator George Vest of MO was the owner's lawyer and his elegant and beautiful tribute to a dog was actually his address to the jury in the trial. The jury awarded Old Drum's owner $500 instead of the $150 for which he had sued. A statue of Old Drum was erected in Warrensburg, MO where the trial occurred. The statue still stands today.

- I agree with Grumpas because I lost my Chihuahua on November 9, 2006 after I started using Ol'Roy canned dog food. I still have 15 cans left. I did not see the UPC codes on the list, but feel that this has been going on for much longer than reported. My dog died very suddenly, before I could take him to the vet. I never attributed it to the dog food until now. I always fed him dry food, but thought that I would give him something different. I never connected his illness with the dog food until now because of the symptons that was reported by the News. As I said, I still have cans of three different varieties of Ol'Roy dog food, and if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do with them, please email me at Bettye1FB@AOL.com. I will be reporting all of this to the FDA Consumer Complaint Coordinator, and would like to know what my next step should be. My dog was in excellent health before I fed him this dog food.
