Asor,,,, Scott Peterson simply didn't fit the mold of someone capable of such a bazzar crime, there's been other crimes similiar & always involved someone completly wacked out... There are a lot of Scott Petersons around.

MIpapaof4 - did you look yet? Find the quote in the Constitution about 'innocent until proven guilty'? You're not going to find it. I'm not grouchy - I just don't feel any need to waste time being gentle and nice while dispelling myths I've heard a hundred times before.

julie w, maybe you can start a fan club once this maniac is in jail. Heck, Peterson has one, why not Mr.Run-away-eyes Grant?

Uh huh - a guy whose wife vanishes, he waits 5 days to tell police, does not cooperate with the investigation, lies about a phone call she recieved (phone records show no call was recieved), lies about affairs she's had (no proof, denied by all supposed lovers), while he's got his own girlfriend... and his wife's dismembered torso in the garage! The police finally get a search warrent, and while it is being served, he goes to 'walk the dog' and vanishes - obviously knowing they were about to find her.

Pretty feeble circumstantial evidence ...

I follow a lot of cases, this is all pretty familiar to me, including the usual 'innocent until proven guilty' misquotes. There is no thought control, and there is freedom of speech, so we each can look at the evidence at hand, and say whether we see a murdering SOB or not.

Susan,,
, I'm afraid we seem to be convicting more people these days on purely circumstancial evidence now... And less burden of proof.

Susan It appears that you are a bit on the cranky side today. Maybe it's time for you to take a chill pill and lie down and rest for a while.

It also depends on the price of your lawyers.

And - "innocent until proven guilty" - you might be surprised to learn - that applies only to very, very specific people - solely to the jury, in their deliberations. It is only the legal burden of proof, not something that anyone else has to follow.

Please, read the constitution if you are going to quote it!

Mlpapao,,,
"In this country you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. That is a right given to all of us under our Constitution."

Unless you're in a part of our country that isn't in our country, but still is part of it -- GITMO

Yeah, Bildo - it's so oversensitive to respond to someone trashing a mutliated murdered mother, killed by her cheating husband, who then proceeded to make up lies for the press about her cheating on him! All the while stalling off the search warrent that would finally let them find her torso in his garage. Yep, I'm oversensitive I guess.

He's just another in a far too long line of controlling types who decided murder is better than divorce! He couldn't take her success, didn't want to be married, and his solution to that is murder! There's no excuse for that.

This is trully a tragic event. Now Stephen's children will be orphans. How can anyone explain to them that their father not only murdered their Mother, but also dismembered her. No one knows what happened between Tara and Stephen during their marriage, but to murder someone is outrageous. Obviously Stephen hasn't heard of the word divorce. Did Stephen even have a job? If not why would they have need of a nanny? Stephen appears to be a selfish self centered bum. Is is possible he's related to Scott Peterson? To go on television with all the pleading for Tara to be returned and knowing he had murdered her is a classic symbol of a psycopath. The should make him pay for all the man hours involved in the search last Saturday.

HypnoToad, she looks like my ex live in girlfriend, she looks and acts sweet and pure too at first but it's pretty much all fake.. Not saying this girl was like that or anything, not trying to offend anyone, wouldn't want to do that on CBS where a lot of the posters are extra sensitive.

A divorce would have been soooooo much cheaper. What an idiot! What a moron! This guy is a useless piece of **** to society and to the world. I hope he has suicidal tendencies and succeeds in any attempt. Get rid of him for good!

Lovely pics; she looks sweet and pure and he looks utterly psychotic. I love how the media finds the most bizarre pics of people to be deemed as one-dimensional or evil or to make the reader believe something without the entire facts or anything else... "He looks creepy so therefore he's got to be guilty, pure and simple." Right? Wrong. or at least, not necessarily wrong...

Also, wasn't "The Runaway Bride" an episode of the British telefantasy series "Doctor Who" (2005-?) :D
