Lets make this clear the Dept. of Defense works for the commander in chief Pres. Bush. The Pres. asked Gates to fix it and he did now the Pres. is furious, I say GO GATES,the poor guy came in after Rumsfeld screwed up everything, I think he is the only honest one in that Administration. When the Dept of defense wanted to cut military benefits in Tricare I thought they had gone mad then, thats is still pending since 2006 who tells the dept what, pres. Bush. So Bush Leave Gates Alone you do not need an inquiry board you need Gates to do a complete house cleaning that has been needed for a long long time. Thank You Mr. Gates.

Mr Harvey blamed the NCO's for not doing their
job. NCO's assist the commander, but the final
decision remains with the commander. What is Mr
Harvey thinking? Looking for scapegoats? Many
commanders think they are teflon coated and are
not responsible. If they take the glory they
take the blame too for failures. Walter Reed scandals have been addressed to the higher ups and was turned on deaf ears. Is this an NCO problem? I am glad you are not there anymore
Mr Harvey.

I would like all you clowns out there who complain almost constantly about the "liberal media" to think about what would have happened if been left to the Moonie Rag, the Fair and Balanced Network, the Ditto Heads or O'Reily, to expose this story. Our kids would still be sleeping in Rat infested Rooms and these people would have still be working. Those "News Outlets" would have been far to concerned with "security" to report it. More like the "Security" of THEIR party and Bush! Our MEDIA does it's job! They did it when CLINTON was in office and they've done it when Sir Lies-A-Lot has been in Charge. The other slanted and abusive Yellow Sheets? Not so! Keep those Kids in mind the NEXT time you complain!

What was Harvey thinking?? One of the principal culptrits was General Kiley and he appoints him to replace General Weightman?? That was very very dumb.
However, I sincerely belive these three fellows do not bear 100% of the blame. I hope the Congressional hearings bring out the whole truth. After the news came out, reports are that the wounded enlisted personnel are being retaliated againist. This has to be part of the hearings.

George Bush is the most incompetent president in US history. Why would anyone be surprised that VA (military) hospitals are in such poor condition?

The entire military is in shambles after years of his incompetency and abuse of "leadership."

George Bush appoints his cronies based on loyalty, not competence. Gates is a Bush loyalist most of all. While he may be competent. to George Bush, that is a secondary issue.

And, that is the underlying problem. So long as Bush cronies are approved by the Senate without regard to competence, the problems will continue. And, so long as Congress continues to rubber stamp Bush decisions, including funding the quagmire in Iraq, the situation will only get worse.

It is time to end combat operations and begin Operation Clean Up George Bush's Mess. US taxpayers will be paying for Bush's incompetency for years. Not to mention the ultimate sacrifice paid by those who lost lives or limbs due to Bush's (and his appointees') incompetency.

George Bush & D. Cheney should be impeached.

Here is more of that incredibly persistent gulf between what Bush and minions say, and what they actually do. Ordinarily, this practice is called "prevarication", though some prefer to call it public relations.

As early as 2004, Bush, himself, was busy chiseling away at veteran's benefits. That Bush's hair might have been on fire at this latest scandal has nothing to do with righteous indignation, but everything to do with unrighteous indignation. Bush is simply tired of being caught in the web of his own deceits, incompetence and negligence-- he believes it might remind everybody of Katrina, or something like that

The problem is sheer neglect-- VA care has been left to heal itself. Even before the 2004 Bush cuts to veterans were suggested, the problem of adequate income and care for service professionals and their families was known to be at crisis level. Yet, for six years, Bush has done little for the very people often asked to be his glee club, applause machine and backdrop.

To a growing number of Americans, this suggests Bush has only disdain for the dwindling ranks of service people who don't suspect by now that he is a con man and political criminal.
