It's the administrations policies folks,,, Remember ?? We where supposed to be greated with flowers.... No consideration or planning for extedned casualties counts..
. I't systemic, involves all our Military & VA hospitals. Then as usual they fire a General & ruin another career. Rather than take ownership of thier failed plans.

I have an idea...why don't we quit sending millions to Iraq, and invest that money in our VA hospitals...in the needs of our citizens...in our schools...in our Military?

Last I heard, money in the neighorhood of $100 BILLION has been/will be spent on the War for Oil in Iraq.
Geezeeee....wha'dya think that $$ would do for the programs from which it was stolen ... Socal Security, Health Care, etc.???

I must agree that it is typical Army snafu, six months and it is the commanders fault. Spare me this. It the committees responsibility to assure that all our soldiers are being given the necessary care. If it can not be given at Walter Reed, then send them somewhere else. I have worked for military hospitals and know what goes down.. I have seen it over and over. This poor man, lol, stepped in it, and now its on his feet. Even tho it usually runs downhill, this time it should all run uphill. When my husband had a brain tumor, he received the very best of care at Walter Reed, for several years, and if not there, then bethesda. The best of doctors are there..
I am sure, some or most, of the injured, do not feel they are getting the best care. But for the committee to do it this way , lets the country see, how their minds work.....Blame everyone, but me, this is my job, and I can not go down...but some one has to...Sad, but normal...in any department of the military, the one there the shortest amount of time, gets to pack his bags and gets relieved...Hope the General, does not plan on becoming the president someday. God Bless Our Soldiers and our country...

Just another typical military FUBAR situation. They fail to get to the root cause of the situation and just do a 'quick fix by firing the 'obvious' person. Walter Reed hospital didn't get that way in just six months.

If anyone is to be held accountable it should be Rumsfled, Cheney and Bush. I'm ashamed that these three criminals are from the United States of America.

(For you 'zeros' who never served a day in the military, you can look up "FUBAR" on Wikipedia.)

Appeal for Redress
Sign this Appeal.
This site is an Appeal For Redress in support of our mission in Iraq.
An Appeal For Redress is an authorized means for active duty military to submit a grievance to Congress. It can be signed by Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard military personnel.
It is authorized by DoD Directive 1325.6 and DoD Directive 7050.6.
The wording of the Appeal for Redress is:
As an American currently serving my nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to fully support our mission in Iraq and halt any calls for retreat. I also respectfully urge my political leaders to actively oppose media efforts which embolden my enemy while demoralizing American support at home. The War in Iraq is a necessary and just effort to bring freedom to the Middle East and protect America from further attack.
If you are active duty, reservist or national guard, please Sign this Appeal.
Most service members fully support the war in Iraq and feel calls to retreat by Congress and attacks by our media on our conduct and mission act to motivate our enemy while demoralizing our support at home, directly increasing the threat we face and resulting in greater American casualties. This Appeal for Redress provides a way in which individual service members can appeal to Congress to fully support us and actively oppose media attacks on our mission and our morale.
This Appeal will be delivered to members of Congress.

Gen. Weightman is just the scrap goat for all the ones that were before him to include Kiley. Kiley needs to go before he does even more stupid things. He got his third star by putting his nose where it does not belong. Just maybe Gates has the right idea but I wonder how long it will last. Gen. Weightman is most likely a good surgeon but that does not mean he was a good administrator. Most civilian hospitals have a civilian as head with the medical staff having a chief of staff. It might be better for a civilian to be head of military hospitals working the same way that civilian hospitals do. It just might help the situation. Who knows until it is tried.
