These people also want to tell us that we CHOOSE to be gay. But sexuality is an innate characteristic. And the logical question to them is, "When did you choose to be straight?"

Bravo! My oldest son is gay and so is my step-son and both of them have said the same thing. They always knew they were gay just as straight people always knew they were straight. It's not a choice, it just is what it is.

Agnim is just a fustrated closet homosexual too afraid to be gay. That's why he is fixated on the subject. Feel sorry for him. He is pathetic.

I don't understand. If two people want to enter into a legal relationship, what is the big deal? Why should I care what they do?

I raised my kids in the church I wanted to, I taught the morals that I wanted taught to them (and by the way, I have no interest in having the school teach them either), as I have the RIGHT to.

If you start saying the government has the right to impose your views on other people, YOU LOSE THOSE RIGHTS!

How hard is this to understand?

Your ignorance would be laughable were it not so damaging to society. Do you know how many gay youths commit suicide because of your hate?

Very good point, CatsnHorses. Unfortunately, many of these nutcases believe that gay youth can be cured by organizations like Exodus Ministries can cure homosexuality and redirect affections to the opposite ***. And if that evil homosexual desire persists, then there's always celibacy.

"The law that took effect Monday was %u201Ca big giant step forward,%u201D said state Sen. Loretta Weinberg, a prime sponsor of the civil unions law, who hosted ceremonies for couples including Goldstein and Gross."

I couldn't agree more, but it's still just one step forward. Someday soon I hope same-*** marriage will finally be a reality!

Why all the homophobia about Gay Unions or marriage? All the arguments that have been expressed lead me to believe that maybe marriage should be banned all together for all people! I would love my wife and kids no less if I didn't have that piece of paper. Is marriage solely for children? Then explain all the childless marriages. Even more difficult, explain all the divorces between couples that had children. Explain all the cheating, violence, and poverty involved in many hetero marriages. The violence perpetrated by parents on their own children. Marriage was brought about by the early church to keep women servile. It was a male dominated church writing the rules of the game their way. It has taken centuries to get women the rights they have deserved. Substitute *** for Woman and the church just hopes to use another bigoted cause to keep the coffers full. Hopefully it will be a shorter period of time for ***!

Oh, the homophobes! Silly, a sheep can't give consent! Fortunately, mothers don't want to mary their sons, and usually when it comes to father/daughter relations, it's just a matter of sexual abuse, non-consensual.
Why deny mature adults the option to enter into a binding relationship wth the mature adult of their chosing? Gay people are not pedophles, are not sexual predators. Why does it bother you that I would want to share my home, have a joint checking account, file jont taxes with, leave my hard-earned benefits to another woman?
Your ignorance would be laughable were it not so damaging to society. Do you know how many gay youths commit suicide because of your hate?

"The more and more the sin of homosexuality spreads, the more and more our country will suffer."

Fifty years ago, bigots used to say that about blacks and whites getting married. Some still do now. The truely ignorant never learn.

Why do you nutjobs always draw a connection between being gay and pedophilia or inscest or bestiality? As I pointed out to Agnim, the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders back in 1973. And for the vast majority of those of us who are gay, the only thing that makes us different from most anyone else is our attration to the same ***. And if we are indeed born this way as science seems to indicate, then why wouldn't we have the right to protect our families as we see fit?

Why stop at legalizing just gay unions?

Can someone explain the logic to my simple, bigoted, homophobic mind?

If the new definition of marriage is two people who love each other and want to make a life-long commitment, then why not legalize marriage between cousins? Or siblings? Or mother and son? Or father and daughter? Or a man and a sheep?

Please, tell me why these "unions" shouldn't be legalized as well. I would like to read a coherent response as to why it's ok for a gay couple to be legally recognized and not these others I've mentioned.

I've reconciled my spirituality and my homosexuality. I've made my peace with God. And if I want to commit myself to another man and he wants to commit himself to me, that is between us and God. Call it civil union, call it domestic partnership...call it marriage, if you want...I don't care, but allow my partner and me to have the same rights as a married heterosexual couple. In case one doesn't understand what that means, let's put it simply: the security of knowing that - should I die - my partner will not have to worry about losing property we've accumulated together to my greedy relatives. Of course the other monetary benefits enjoyed by heterosexual married couples would be nice.

Yes, I think that's fair and just.

In the New Testament, the references by Paul accompany his belief that woman should be veiled and that they should be silent in the church. It is also important to remember that the Bible was written in Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament) and that the words in your personal Bible depend on which translation you happen to have. It is also important to remember there is no record of Jesus mentioning homosexuality anywhere in the four gospels. He did say that we are not to judge each other and that we'll have to answer to God for how we treat each other (Matthew 7:1).

I'm not trying to make excuses or to make you feel bad or uncomfortable, but God will be the one who judges me. I am comfortable with that and I know He loves me as I am.

The following is part of a long letter to my mother back in 1987. Since, I have dedicated it to fundamentalist Christians I've known over the years. (BTW - my mom and I have a great relationship today!)

(1 of 2)

I have known I am gay since I was very young. I can't explain why or how. I can tell you that I didn't CHOOSE to be gay, but I came to realize that this is a part of who I am and I grew to accept it. I don't consider this to be "a lifestyle," because my sexual orientation is a tiny part of who I am as a person. It simply is. I don't obsess about your heterosexuality because it is a tiny part of who you are. I just don't spend much time on it.

Please don't misunderstand me. I know you think you are helping me. But when you read the Bible, you must always take into consideration who is speaking, to whom it is addressed and the purpose for which it was recorded. When you read Leviticus 18, the supposed prohibition against homosexuals in verse 22 should be kept in context with the rest of the chapter or the whole book of Leviticus: No pork, no lobster, no shrimp, no oysters, no eating rare meats. How about no *** during menstruation or calling for the killing of all divorced people who remarry? I do not know of even the most fundamentalist Christian who believes any of that other stuff!

Angium - Nice. Your mother must be proud of the filth spilling out of you....

I have read your posts when this subject comes up and you seem to be obsessed with calling gay people names like filty f@ggots, devients and perverts. Whatever...unless you can treat me like another adult, I won't be talking to you.

And BTW, the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders back in 1973.

Congrats - New Jersey !! Christian bigots you will find the world will NOT come to an end. The only issues the pseudo-Christians have left is that of hate - between the extreme Islamists and their brethren in Christianity maybe their real goal is to bring on the Armageddon! Unfortunately all these self-righteous pious Christians will find themselves on the big bus to Hades as Christ is sickened by their hypocrisy!

Jewish fog.gots?
We wonder what their jehovah would have to say about that.

Like the christians in the Churches of Child Sodomy, it would appear that the deviant homosexual so-called leaders in New Jersey don't mind the FURTHER ENDANGERING OF AMERICA'S CHILDREN! They are continuing where the churches have left off in SODOMIZING AND TRAUMATIZING OF AMERICA'S CHILDREN!

Only one with the mentality of a lowly word would have not find revolting the deviant and perverted act of playing in another man's filth.
So we wonder what kind of worms are these f@ggots; hook worms? tape worms? round worms?
