ainttaken - with you on that - the crazed evangicals are gearing up for 2008 elections and more of the same old same old - gay ***, gay marriage, etc.... so they can't have one of their ministers caught in an 'unusual' relationship with a [gasp] homosexual!!

The only ones stupid enough to buy this are the deeply nutso right wing evangicals - and only cause they NEED to buy it!

Nothing like the fall of a preacher man to bring out the self-righteousness of more ordinary heathen.

Keep on dancin' -- the party's almost over.

Praise JEEZUS!!!

Haggard probably needs to work on his dishonesty a bit more before he worries about his lesser faults.

Hey, Haggard, all animals are sexual, it comes natural. Some animals like holes, some animals like poles, and others, such as you, are in between and like both.

But it don't make you a bad person.

That lying, however, that's not good. You really ought to work on that a bit more.

Praise JEEZUS!!!

Oh, and lay off the drugs, they're not good for your health.

HALLELUJAH!!! & PRAISE Jeezus!!!

I think the world should work on that "thou shalt not kill" thing before skipping ahead to the other stuff. If we can't get that one right, is there any point in even worrying about the others?

Anyone who looks for perfection among humans will always be disappointed. We're all just flawed, imperfect people. This works for priests, rabbis, pastors, imams, and anyone else who draws a breath.

His life, and that of his family, is forever altered....Mr. Haggard, I wish you the best of luck.

Since we are talking about hypocracy...

These are the same people that want to "protect" marriage by exclude a distinct and insular part of society from engaging in it, homosexuals. All the while not realizing that independant conservative protestants have the highest divorce rate of any faith in the U.S., and athiests and agnostics have the lowest.

Being gay is not a disease that can be cured. If you are gay, you are gay. You can lie and pretend to be heterosexual, and hurt your wife and children when you eventually come out (on your own or forcibly), but you are still gay. The God I have heard about will certainly forgive his sins and love him, gay or straight, right? Is that not what we should do, as his fellow human beings, whether he is gay or straight? Hypocrisy.

So, everyone can relax now knowing that Ted Haggard isn't gay or if he was he has been "cured" of that. I guess we shouldn't worry ourselves about wether or not he is a drug abusing liar and a hypocrite because God loves drug abusing liars and hypocrites... It's just *** that are a problem???

Someone's values and morals are a bit messed up here if you ask me.

"He is completely heterosexual" I don't think he know what "Completely" means! He does seem completely confused, a complete hypocrite, and completely unrepentant. What an *** jockey.

That must be painful - having straightness rammed up your gay *** can really hurt.

He could be bisexual - it's not impossible. But then, if he were bi, why would he not be sufficiently satisfied with his wife? For him to be so dissatisfied, so driven that even with the knowledge that this will destroy his career forever, as well as his marriage, as well as whatever of his religious beliefs are real about this sending him to hell, that driven to a homosexual relationship - I think that says he's not bi. He's flat out homosexual.

Truth - something Jesus seemed to think a lot of - is not important to a lot of these people. They figure you get into heaven by scoring saved souls, and if you have to lie, cheat, steal, or pass laws to force them to behave as you think they should - it's all OK. I think they should reread their bible.
