LOL... just found out why you prefer that link...... not one mention of Clinton's abuse of Echelon... only that Bush extended the program to include domestic suveillance.

The question I would like you to answer is --mechanics were working on that plane take-off 45 minutes late - Reply to this comment

- "How many Boeing 747's have crashed BEFORE or AFTER for the same reason? I'll tell you: 0"
This is the most brilliant statement yet - don't you think after this accident, when they found the problem, that they would do something to correct it? - Reply to this comment
- BigUSAFan, the problem lies in giving abusable power to government. Even if the current administration will "only use those powers for good", the danger exists in letting the government have the power in the first place.
And no, I don't believe we haven't been hit again because of this program. I think we have not been hit again because it hasn't been politically useful to the administration to allow another attack ... yet.
The simple, basic failures in security on 9/11 (no fighters scrambled over DC although the nation was under attack, for instance) make it much more likely that the Bush administration deliberately allowed that attack than that they were caught by surprise.
If 19 Arabs with box cutters can make NORAD stand down without inside help, our problems go way beyond the threat of terrorism. If that's all we've got, we could be conquered by a determined boy scout troop. I don't buy it. - Reply to this comment

- Hey hungry1968
remember TWA 800 & 9/11)
A plane that crashed because of faulty wiring?
A terrorist event that happened because George Bush wouldn't listen to Richard Clarke - the world reknown expert, the bipartisan anti-terrorism czar who served under Regan, GHWB, Clinton and the current buffoon?
*********************************************
Now I see your naivity...you really BELIEVE the Clinton CIA & FBI story about faulty wiring over the center wing tank??? What hogwash!
How many Boeing 747's have crashed BEFORE or AFTER for the same reason? I'll tell you: 0
That story was invented so Clinton would not be blamed for another terrorist attack on U.S. soil and so that the U.S. airline industry would not tank.
TWA 800 was taken down by a missle attack lauched out of long island sound. Countless witnesses saw the missle trails in the night sky and they reported it to the FBI....but Clinton's boys at FAA, CIA, & FBI made sure that the eyewitness reports never saw the light of day. - Reply to this comment

- Of course Stan is afraid. Oppressive governments control their people through fear.
Here's a genuinely American sentiment, courtesy of Benjamin Franklin:
