Thank you Mr. Autrey. The world needs more people like you. As I was reading this, I was wondering if i could do the same. I honestly can not say that I could. I hope that you will be an insperation to myself and others to change the "me, me, me" way of thinking.

What a wonderful thing. It had nothing to do with race, religion, or ethnicity. Just one humans concern for another.

What an incredible man! He was willing to risk his own life to save a stranger, another human being in danger. The word Hero seems almost too small to describe this awesome act of selflessness. I applaud you Wesley Autry, may all the blessings and goodness of the Universe follow you for the rest of your life!

What a story ! A real hero ! Should go to the White House, just as Reagan celebrated the hero who jumped into the freezing waters to save people from a small plane accident in the 1980s. What a hero !

I have long felt that these days, the word "hero" goes for cheap; it's applied to just about any ordinary rescue situation. But HERE is a situation in which this man is TRULY a hero -- he put his own life on the line to save the other person. Now THAT is the real meaning of "hero." Here is a real hero who has earned my profound respect, admiration, and gratitude.

Mr. Autrey - It is said that a parent's actions become their children's bible. This incredible act of selflessness is now a chapter in their bible they will remember always.

GOD bless you and your family. You are a hero!

To paraphrase a line from "Superman II"

Wesley..."Way to go Supes!"

Oddly enough Superman did the same thing you did in the 1978 movie! ;)

You are truly one amazing man. May God bless you, good Samaritan Wesley, always. You SAVED a man's life!

There truly is no greater gift to give.
