Georgia School Abandons Defense Of Cautionary Stickers On Science Books

yea, but god killed innocent children because of who their parents were (sinners). I was raised christain. After discussing these inconsistencies with my pastor, and being told to just have faith, i felt duped.
But on evolution. I agree with raymimsjr. Let's leave god at church and science in schools. After all, christainity has not stopped since religion has left school.
More important: not everyone is a christain. - Reply to this comment

God executes the entire population of the earth except for 2
and we teach to 5 year olds kids and use it as coloring book materal in Sunday school
If you were, by chance, referring to Noah flood, you are wrong. Noah's wife, three sons and their wives were all in the ark. If there is another episode mentioned, please remind me, as I cannot think of one right now.
BTW, I consider myself a Christian, but I firmly believe in evolution as discussed by true scientists, not by the idiots who think the Grand Canyon was made in a couple of hundred years. I am in awe of the face that our planet is a small speck in a small galaxy among BILLIONS of galaxies. My favorite pictures are those from Hubble Space Telescope showing deep space and knowing that even the tiniest spots of light are even more galaxies! - Reply to this comment

- All sides (liberals, conservatives, Christians, Atheists, etc.) have completely missed the point - how much tax payer money was spent (wasted) to defend and/or bring this lawsuit?
How much of this money *COULD HAVE* been spent educating our children?
Please, don't be bigoted by blaming Bush, the South, or American morons - the blame lies within each of us by wanting to place the blame on anyone else but ourselves. We now reap what we have sown - stupidity, and a lack of moral and ethical conscience. What is, is *OUR* fault. And if you don't understand that, then God help you.
Let's leave science in the schools and God at church. After all, we don't teach calculus at Sunday School, but we *** sure need to teach compassion, morals and ethics in our schools.
Bottom line, even Rome fell. For us, it will happen sooner. - Reply to this comment
- If American kids were taught creationism only, within a couple of generations India and China would completely dominate us. It is fine to have your own beliefs, and Christianity is fine, but just don't let it get in the way of science.

- Evolution is fact like it or not. As for god in school. No thanks! I don't want my kids exposed to that BS. The public school system is the only school were I can send them and not have to worry about some one trying to teach them about some imaginary god. Keep it up and I might just take up the god thing in the pledge and unlike Newdow I don't have custody issues to skirt the issue on.

- The statement should have been banned because it is misleading.
The description of Evolution as a "theory" in no way detracts from its truthfulness. The attempt to foster the false dichotomy is the work of people who are either idiots or charlatans.
There are no more than a tiny handful of individuals educated in the sciences who dispute the broad general principles of Evolution and almost all of those disputants are obviously mentally unstable.
If Evolution is untrue then almost every understanding of modern science must also be untrue. So called Creationism and "Intelligent Design" are laughable nonsense. They both are not merely bad science but not science at all. - Reply to this comment
- "It is really sad to see our country trying to throw our God out of everything. It's ok to teach a child the ways of atheistic evolutionists but it's not ok to let them read their Bible in school."
Our God? I think you'll find that there are more than just Christians living in the U.S., and in fact the First Amendment to the Constitution says:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
How about some respect for people who don't accept the Bible as their holy book? How about respect for people who believe in a different idea about creation? It really irks me when people claim to be "christian" yet are so intolerant of other people and their beliefs. If there is a God, he (or she) is weeping because of what people do in His (or Her) name.

- In the beginning we were all fish. Then two fish had a *** baby which was different so it lived. Eventually there were only *** fish and they kept having *** babies. One generation of babies had little *** fin/legs, and used them to crawl up out of the water. IT had a *** baby which was a *** fish frog which had buttsex with a monkey and they had a fish/frog/monkey/*** baby. It had buttsex with a bunch of different monkeys and that was a human. So your all the children of a retarded fish/frog/monkey having buttsex with bunch of monkeys. and then that fish/frog/monkey/*** baby, who in fact happened to be your mother, made another retarded baby, which surprisingly is you.

- It's about time! It sure took them a long time to drop this fight, but that's evolution for you!
Certainly a big blow against Bush's second biggest base (after the filthy rich) though. Of course anyone could see this coming. I mean after all how do you explain a half man half chimp like Bush with evolution? - Reply to this comment
- Lets see now;
We have the flat earth society and we have those who say the periodic table doesn't exist and then we have a huge group of people who say drugs in the schools is a good thing and now we have an entire state in the US saying that Cause and effect, (evolution), doesn't occur.
And I thought there was only one kind of blindness.
