ronnie, i only bring up the KKK because they along with groups like the nation of islam have used religion to justify their behavior without the consent of all in the religion...it happens often and its hard to control

In order to refute that argument, you'd have to have said ONLY oranges were orange. Nice try.

And at other times, what you do is restrain the passenger so he or she can't hurt anybody. Because sometimes you're not going to discover a threat until you're in the air. And not all terrorists, contary to popular belief, act in groups.

""What should be done when a passenger accuses another of terrorism? Nothing, most of the time. Ignore the idiot who is trying to cause drama and get on the news...and the problem will go away."

Most of the time? OK, which times?

i think what we have here is a mismatch in information

the article says both:

the imam said he was never asked
the crew says he was...its hard to know what's truth here

Canadu--I do not think that anyone here is saying all muslims in general are terrorists. We are saying that 90% of terrorists are muslims.

See the difference?

Mass killers kill for a variety of reasons. Some terrorists don't kill for pure hatred, but because they can't resist the lure of the financial payoff offered to the families of martyrs.

"Laurie, the assertion is being made that Muslims are terrorists. To refute that assertion, one has to demonstrate that some non-Muslims are terrorists."

Oranges are orange. I refute that because carrots are orange. Any more brilliant theories?

Repeating my post from 9:51 PM:

Not every note-passing passenger is a good source of information about potential dangers. If the flight crew (including the air marshalls) use their eyes, their ears and their common sense, they can spot a threat before the passengers even notice.
