WVopfor81,

The "No-Fly Zones" in Iraq were unilaterally imposed on Iraq by the US and UK and had no basis in any agreement or law. During that period, US war-planes routinely bombed Iraqi sites, including civilian infrastructure, another war crime.

No US planes were even hit during this period, so this could hardly be considered much of a threat. If Saddam declared "No-Fly Zones" in the US, and Iraqi jets were flying around US air space and dropping bombs, you can be sure that the US would fire back, and justifiably.

You are incorrect that the UN authorized the "use of force" in order to compel Saddam to comply with inspections. The US failed to push through any such actionable UN Resolution.

Furthermore, prior to the illegal invasion, UN weapons inspectors were on the ground in Iraq and begging for more time to complete their work. The Bush regime ignored those requests, and as we now know, they were determined to invade Iraq no matter what.

The Bush regime fools said that they "knew" the location of the WMD. They failed to provide this information to the UN weapons inspectors despite their requests. We now know that this information was not supplied because it did not exist.

WV,,, Anyway we all need answers,, I'm retired military myself, & I know how this administration pays no heed to handling classified materials correctly. You have to question Tenant taking our secrets to a foreign country even if they are allies...

J I will have to argue that the reality is that a small amount of chemical or biologic weapons could kill thousands if %u201Cproperly%u201D imploded. That is a threat
