Obstructing the shipping activities of the Port of Oakland; breaking the windows of Bank of America; Wells Fargo; and Chase Bank; blocking small businesses and forcing them to close; disregarding attempts of police to maintain order; defying the pleas of the Mayor of Oakland to peacefully protest; intimidating citizens who attempt to go about their business; creating unsanitary conditions that could lead to an outbreak of disease; and, in general, making ***** of themselves are not examples of free speech and the right to peaceful assembly. What these actions are is anarchy and attempt to override law and order.

The police should and must take forceful action to end this unlawfulness and illegal activity. Massive arrests and prosecutions must take place before large-scale riots and looting occur.

These Occupy Wherever activities must be that are nothing but an attempt by radical groups to disrupt the ordinary business and life of the community are preludes to rampant disorder and revolution. They must be stopped, now!

That unions would join and support this unlawfulness says volumes about the radicalism that is invading the union movement in this nation. This, also, bears investigation by government and law enforcement to determine if union leadership has been co-opted by those who have an agenda to destroy our nation of freedom, liberty, free enterprise, and self-determination.

Also, a hard look needs to be taken at the radical professors who are preaching anarchy and communism to our impressionable children who cannot tell a wise teacher from a subversive.

Labor unions are going down in popularity in America. Most people are starting to see them for the thugs that they really are.

Labor unions with active members is democracy in action. It's the checks and balances against the excesses of empire and capitalism.

This current phase of Occupy is to serve as a warning to the powers that be that the 99% are not going to take what they have been serving up anymore.

They can either do something or they can wait and be forced to do something. Those are their only two choices. I guarantee that the politicians who try to ignore this will all be swept away.

Alan, the mayor is part of the 99%, duh. You can choose to join the 99% or you can do it later, it's your choice. The Top 1% has raped and pillaged you and your family as well.

Unless you are part of the 1%...

They have been but I suspect that is going to turn around in a hurry due to the 99% Movement. And we should demand they return and support them since the takeover of our government by the Top 1% robber barons.

I am going to go down there and march with them tonight. We should urge Oakland, all cities, counties and states to meet the 99% demands and save everyone a whole lot of time and trouble.

If the demands are not met, anyone standing in the way will be swept away. Mark my words.

no noloyalisti this is what chaos looks not democracy. the mayor should either be forced out of office or resign and if she stays in office any voter worth their salt should vote her out of office her vacillation on removing the protesters shows she lacks leadership and her throwing of the police officers under the bus shows horrendous leadership. she listens too carefully to the liberal activist

This is what democracy looks like, unlike what we have in America now. And the 99% now get it. Finally. This is literally a fight to the finish for whether the 1% continue to rape and pillage and destroy the planet for their own greed. Or whether we return to democracy for the people.

War was declared to-day against the United States Of America by the OWS and OO sewer forces, who claim to be law abiding US citizens. US labor unions are joining in the fray and promoting civil disobedience, property damage and terrorist activity.... Labor unions pay no taxes. They wine and dine at the members expense. They support, with members dues, factions who would destroy America. Unions should not be tax exempt any longer. The National Guard should be activated now to quell these rioters. Where is the police mounted division? Is this the hope and change of the Obama administration? HURRY 2012.
