These protesters need to be carrying voter registrations with them. They need to go after the party that protects wall street and the banks. The republicans are quickly changing the rules on voting in every state to make it more difficult for the elderly and handicapped to vote. These protesters need to to start seeking these people out and getting them to the polls. look into absentee voting. It's the easiest way to vote for the elderly and handicapped.

Yes many are being arrested, and maced, and beat. I've seent the videos - but why? They aren't doing anything but carrying a sign - last time I checked THAT was protected by the First Amendment!

Check out http://www.occupytogether.org/ and find out for yourself what they want, what they are targeting. Theres several things but I hear one thing loud and clear - they're sick and tired of the top 1% getting out of their taxes with loopholes while the rest of us PAY our taxes!

More than 98% of the wealth is passed, "inherited" from one generation to the next. So much for success.

If you didn't have the professional protesters (OWS today, save the whales tommorrow, anti-war next week)and hangers-on such as unions who have destroyed whole industries with THEIR greed, there would have virtually no one there. Its a phony movement full of people who don't have a clue.

The rich get richer; the poor get poorer.

The Wall Street parasites claim they are "job-creators." Very well. Where are the jobs???????

Rather than beg Wall Street for jobs, let's take matters into our own hands. First of all, let's pass Obama's jobs bill.

Then let's eliminate all the tax breaks that benefit the wealthy. Let's eliminate tax breaks for oil companies and tax breaks for off-shoring American jobs. Following the 999 formula by Herman Cain, let's impose a 9% sales tax on all day trades, hedge fund trades, and derivative trades. None of these stock market transactions create jobs.

Then let's impose an emergency surtax on the incomes of the superrich, which kicks in whenever the unemployment rate rises above 6%. Then we can fund jobs in public works projects. Look at the 2009 report by the American Society of Civil Engineers. There's plenty of work to be done. In additon, extreme weather, triggered by global climate change will impose additional strains on our infrastructure, meaning we'll need to spend even more in the future than we are spending now.

In short, let's tax the greedy to fund jobs for the needy.

That's the only way to solve the problem of unemployment.

I have a better idea. How about making all the free-loaders in this country pay THEIR fair share of taxes instead of leeching off the rest of us?

You left one thing out - there needs to be some kind of punishment for sending the jobs overseas!

We need to start a campaign looking for who will be the first? Which corporation will be the first to say "I was wrong and I'm bringing the jobs BACK to America!" They will have plenty of free instant adverstising and support when they do.
