My Tribute
September 11th
On The Wings of the Wind

On that great day we all felt the beginning of an act
Not really knowing what was true, what was a lie
Seeing but not really understanding the facts.

Someone from somewhere tried to change our life
Tried to alter and change our goals
They didn't know what actually ran through the United American soul.

Thousands of families from across the land
Started their day as only Americans can;
Leaving homes, the many races and creeds
Looking forward to the day's normal regular deeds.

The enemy did not know that on that fated day of 9/11
We were about to bear a simple message from Heaven
That no matter what we know and don't know- God has prepared a place for us to go.

On that early morn God prepared Wings of the Wind like a storm to carry many souls further still;
Than they had planned that day to go, or ever will.
The Wing veiled in a storm cloud of dust and ash
Racing rapidly passed us in giant great dash.

But what I will remember is on that day, all the many souls must have joined hands on the Wings of a Wind. Tall men, short men, ladies, lads, children, unborn babies, moms, sisters, brothers and dads with policemen, fireman, chiefs, clerks, shoppers and visitors all alike taking flight from this world, and from this life.

We say good bye, now ten years later on a bright September day-
Knowing that Wind that blew you by us, a United America came forward born and I say;
As the wind and billowing cloud blew by -hidden within was your Wing on the Wind so we could not see - all your faces, smiles, tears, joy, laughter, sadness and jubilee - leaving this life we shared and the life that could no longer be.

Good bye dear friend, mother, father, sister, brother, and unborn baby. We wish the Wind could have been a gentle quiet calm one- that rushed you away from our arms that fated day. We will never forget how you left us on the Wings of the Wind of a Darken Sky mourning our lost as you blew. The dust now settled the still gentleness of your presence felt, in the breeze blowing though the surviving tree reaches to the God in the heaven above us, loving us and who will always be.

God Bless You.

The media echo`s one solemn voice. Terrorists shake and shiver knowing that a bullet sent in the direction of the US will have a million returned. Those that imagine America is divided must listen to the airwaves on 9/11 and they will change their mind. Even the unemployed or homeless stand at attention when the bugle is played in memory of the victims of that terrorist attack.

My thoughts with all the families of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy and in special memory of Christina Taylor-Green of Arizona, victim of the Tucson massacre. Today would have been her tenth birthday.

i cannot imagine being so filled with hatred that i would consider high jacking a plane and using it as a missile to murder men, women & children i did not know.
if you feel your life is miserable and not worth living and want to commit suicide, so be it, but do NOT in the process,decide to take the lives of people you did not know who never did you harm.
the hottest depths of hell needs to be reserved for them and their leader bin laden. you are not going to heaven to see allah. if you cannot get along with westerners when alive, how can you get along with them in heaven?
go straight to hell, do not pass go. as for the victims, you are now at peace. your suffering has ended. may god have mercy on your souls. nobody deserves to die like this.

You really need to research Islam. Muslims believe they are the only ones who will end up in Paradise, along with their 72 virgins. Non-Muslims are considered to be infidels, second-class people compared to Muslims. Hence the problem. Islam and Western civilization are mutually incompatible.

We are all vctims of 9/11. Those of us everywhere in the USA that day. Some of ye lost loved ones and them ye worked with. We as a nation were/are the victims of 9/11.That is right. All 50 states -happened on Ameican soil.I can't so much as watch it-The reason being is brings me to tears. The ones that trully should be there are the ones that were there that day..
I am in Seattle WA and was that day as well..But I have seen the WTC with my own eye in the 80s. The WTC I member the sunshine on the towers as I looked at the towers. They were pretty. I never thought they be gone. As a legally blind person I thought they were very pretty. I am grateful I was able to see them years ago. It was from a bus window.
We are all victims that day. I was in shock when I saw it on the news. I just sat there as they told about it tears running down my face.
I am a Mainer from birth. We will never fully heal from it. Us that member that day..There are no words to express it.
They that passed-died that day--nothing will bring them back. They are in heaven. I think it is very kind that they have their names written in the places they passed-died as that should be done.They wanted closer. As we all do.

Kudos to CBS for continuing to air all the names of the victims. The other 2 networks should be ashamed. I am your newest fan.

Sadly, the one thing we can expect "regularly" are sour, derogatory statements. It's strange how some people perpetually post on the boards of a network they apparently despise. This is a day of mourning and remembrance; let's all try to show some respect for the dead and our fellow citizens, and avoid negativism for just ONE DAY. Thank you.
