Typical left wing puff piece. Islam is a terrible religion, filled with stone age fanatics. If there is an incident on 9/11, who do you think did it?

Who do I think did it? Your "christian government".

mobilemavy, you need to wake the ********* hell up. The fact is that Christianity, Judaism, etc. have 'stone age fanatics' in them as well. There are MANY Christians who want to go back to the 1800's in terms of women's rights, African's rights, etc.

Islam openly advocates combining Church and State, which is totally against American principles.

Why doesn't the news media dwell on this fact like they do with Christianity, Judaism, and Mormonism every time one runs for public office?

For example, they can't stop talking negatively about Romney's Mormon faith. I'm not Mormon and haven't been to ANY type of church in years, but I find that very offensive - not to mention really dumb.

The obvious answer is that the News Media are more afraid of Islam than they are of most other religions, and for good reason: Look at how many death threats cartoonists got from radical Muslims a few years ago when some of them made fun of Mohammad.

True, Islam does advocate combining church and state... BUT WAIT! Many of the Founding Fathers wanted to do that, until George Washington and a few others put their foot down and told them "No, we are not going to allow that and we WOULD go to war with you to prevent a national religion from being established!"

Mind quoting your sources on that?

Most Americans are taught that separation of Church and State was a guiding principal in the foundation of this country since many saw what religious wars did in Europe and thought it best that a man worship how he pleases instead of having to espouse a state religion.

I find it highly offensive for CBS to create an American flag with an islamic cresent moon and star in the blue field. Many on the cbs blogs attack Christianity as a religion that has waged war against different groups throughout history. But no where will you find in Christianity were it teaches for such action to take place. However, in the koran, it teaches that those who haven't accepted islam are infidels and are lesser than they.

You must have a minimal knowledge of the history of the roman catholic church. The way the catholic church became so popular was because of the fear, torture and murder they inflicted on non-believers.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! :-)

Or the Crusades either, nor the Catholic vs Protestant religious wars which once ravaged Europe. And for a SUPER long list of blood lettings, be sure to read your Bible.

But I feel the Muslims are JUST as guilty and JUST as blood thirsty as any other religion on earth. And the terrorist factions seem to be miserably cowardly as well...

It would be a lot easier to be comfortable around a Muslim if they were willing to abide by our laws, customs and respect our patriotic symbols.

As far as I am concerned I am OFFENDED by their actions to remove our symbols and customs that we have been practicing for more than two hundred years.

The really sad part about this is our politicians; in an attempt to be "politically correct" (two of the words I hate most in the English language) have caved to the so-called "concessions" on many respects.

If a Muslim wants to live in a country that guarantees them much more freedom than they would ever have in a Muslim country, I'd be much more willing to accept them if they would just accept us as we are and stop making demands that we change our ways because they are "offended" by them.

As far as I know, nobody "demanded" they come to the United States.

They obviously left their homeland because they wanted to live lives that gave them more freedoms.

AND. I resent their attempts to take away ours."

With all due respect, slatep, most Muslims ARE willing to abide by our CRIMINAL laws, customs, etc. except when we try to force them to give up their cultural identity to do that.
