These "authorites" ought to be fired. Everyone who has ever been a kid or a parent knows that if you let a kid get away with something he will not only learn that there are no consequences, he will move on to bigger and bigger transgressions.
Well, he couldn't have been smokin' the dope. If he had, he wouldn't have had the energy or interest to make the bombs and work on the schematic of the school. :-) Must have been growing and selling it to make the money for the bomb materials.
You know this is really getting ridiculous- How is it possible for this mentally unbalanced ex-student who never completed high school to have all these weapon making ingredients in his bedroom...and his parents didn't know??? Are they kidding? And then they say they are cooperating fully with the police? You mean his parents never suspected there was something wrong with him? Were they banned from entering his room? and didn't think that was strange? Or did they just never feel the need to go into his room for all that time? This is going, unfortunately, to wind up in some comedian's routine once the initial shock is over. Not to mention the nut case in Norway-his parents never suspected "he" was "off" in some way? Give me a break-PARENTS RETAKE CONTROL OF YOUR MENTALLY DISTURBED, ACTING OUT CHILDREN. The majority of us would know darn well what the heck our kids were/are up to.

I don't care WHERE he made his stuff-if it's part of a "parents'" home, they should be well aware of what's going on-and say, did they ever wonder why they always had to park outside? and to Newster1, I "THINK" his illness came from his parents-but that isn't always the case-and, if a parent IS mentally ill-"someone" should have noticed before a 17-year old dropout, troublemaker in and out of school leading to expulsion got this far. "Your" responses are obviously based on a personal bias rather than a psychological (FBI type) profile. I would bet that any psychiatrist/psychologist would say that all the signs were there. AND, OBVIOUSLY, someone was smart enough and savvy enough and psychologically enough aware to PHONE the police!

I do oppose efforts by some to try and take Constitutional rights away from others.
But I doubt you're capapble of drawing the distinction.....

I have read they are cooperating with authorities and that they didn't know about the "plan". How could this kid have such a bad attitude, be constantly high all the time(according to his Facebook), and the parents be blind to this??? I don't get it.
