Fine and jail the business's that use illegals and immediately deport illegals. As far as the Arizona law, it just maybe not the most legal way of finding illegals, but at least they are trying to do something. Why is the government so against deporting these illegals anyway. It seems odd.

Reality-Checker says:
The battle the Arizona is fighting today was taken up by the State of Texas and lost 40 years ago in the Federal Supreme Court. What Arizona is doing is a lost cause. Numerous International Treaties have also been ratified that govern the treatment of aliens with regard to education and medical needs.

The Arizona State Governor, Brewer made false statements that crime was so bad that bodies were being found in the desert, but later Arizona State Police contradicted their governor and asserted that her statement was not fact.

Many states assert rights that they don't actually have, and when they are challenged in a Federal court and the state loses, the state's taxpayers are left with expenses to pay. It becomes the most frustrating situation when a governor has to submit and eat the expenses for a flawed piece of legislation.

The careers of State's Attorney Generals often fall when they lose a case in a federal court....meaning they are bypassed for any consideration of a lucerative federal appointment. Many State A-G's (Attorney Generals) are wise and avoid being the center of a Federal-State conflict knowing the loss is fodder for their political opponent in the next election.

It is an unscrupulous court. Do you hear of any of the other Appeals Courts being in the news except the 9th?

Isn't robbing a bank a federal offense? What about counterfeiting? Maybe the next time a cop hassles you for trying to pass a $20 with Mickey Mouse on the front, you should politely point out that he's out of his jurisdiction and that you're leaving now?

This is all a continuation of the fight between Democrats and Republicans for power in this country. This stupid fight is paid for by us Americans, in tax dollars and quality of life. My wife is a recently naturalized citizen. She did everything exactly by the book, because she respects our system and proved herself worthy by following our laws. If she went out driving, forgot her license at home, and started explaining it with a noticeable accent to a cop who stops her, neither one of us would fault the cop if she was asked about citizenship. Be polite about it, no problem producing the proof. Can't prove it? Hand it over to US Immigration. 99.9999% solved in 10 minutes.

On the other hand, Arizona, like the other states, are being asked to shoulder an increasingly larger share of the Medicaid burden, but can't ask if the recepients are eligible? So, we have to pay the medical expenses for illegals, which we can't. So we have to cancel state programs that our citizens rely on? There's no room for the Democrats and Republicans to play their little power games at our expense.

Arizonan's need to quit crying about their "illegal's" problem and quit giving them jobs. You want to rid your state of illegals, mow your on lawn like most of us do. If you need to hire someone, pay a living wage and demand a US Citizen.

There ya go. Finally, someone gets it. It's a supply and demand issue. If there are no more illegal under-the-table jobs available, there will be no illegal immigrant problem. Does that mean we should grant amnesty to illegal immigrants? No, but we sure are concentrating too much on the wrong end of the equation! If you want to clean up a drug neighborhood, do you arrest all the users and leave the dealers on the street? Of course not! You go after the distributors with everything you've got.

All Arizonan's have to do is levy stiff prison sentences (like 5 Years hard time) for employers of illegals, end of problem. no fence needed. Of course the wealthy will have to start paying decent wages.

Unfortunately the Federal Government might say it's unconstitutional since it's already Federal Law.

No they won't. It will put a lot of white business owners in jail. They'll be all for it.

You can talk about constitutionality all you want but the fact is what good is the constitution if the Federal Government doesn't enforce the constitution. Then the piece of paper the constitution was written on isn't worth squat and that in itself is what this country is based upon. Sad day for America.

Better idea. We keep Arizona, enforce immigration and you go change your citizenship to Mexico.
