Bucky is FINALLY in custody. It's to bad the State Police didn't shoot him. Rot in hell you scumbag. You turned my community into your own little playground and now it's our turn. You will NEVER see daylight again. Enjoy Prison.

It's just too bad you're a coward and didn't do "suicide by cop" like you wanted. It would have saved us from having to pay to lock your butt up until you die.

Now we can bury one of our Troopers and give his family some comfort knowing you have been taken off the street.

Bucky Phillips is now in custody. He vowed to go down in a blaze of glory. In his own words, it would be "suicide by cop". In the end, he showed himself for exactly what he is. A gutless coward. When he couldn't ambush anyone from behind and he was faced head on, he surrendered like we all knew he would. Snivelling two-bit punk...
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Trooper Joseph A. Longobardo. Rest in peace, my brother.
To Trooper Donald Baker Jr., best wishes on a speedy and complete recovery.

Its to bad that this cop killer will never get the Death Penalty. That's because New York is run by liberals like Gov. George Pataki , soft on crime --even cop killers!!!

This just shows us that Pataki has been bad for New York State and even worse for America.

Hey shoestore ***, He was caught and nobody else got hurt. Are you aware that this jerk stole cars, leaving it feasible that he could have been in Elmira. As you recall, there wasn't as much an urgency to catch him when he was just a scumbag that escaped from jail, that is until he shot the trooper that pulled him over on the stolen motorcycle he was riding. Are you aware that a gun store was robbed and the weapons just happened to be found at the idiots double wide that was helping him? He had many weapons at his disposal, but the troopers were vigilant and caught him with his pants down and without access to them. Speaking of his pants being down, I hope they bunk him with Bubba for the next 30 years. He won't get what he deserves, which is someone that he loves being taken from him by an idiot lowlife scumbag.....someone like yourself. that is.

I am very happy that this *** is finally caught! Hopefully we can bring him to justice and sentence him to DEATH! He deserves it what an idoit thinking he can take on the State Police and win. I am very happy that no more of our protectors were hurt. I am a little disappointed that bucky didn't get to feel the pain he has inflicted. Hopefully they will continue to keep bringing in all the rest of the jackasses that have been helping him and throw the book at them.

I don't know if they have the ability or not to use the infrared imaging system from aircraft, but if I were searching for him with those things in my capability, I would use it after the ambient temperature had dropped below the 90 degree mark and start in the area he was last sighted. He would literally have to be in a cave to prevent detection. While hiding in a cave is not beyond his ability in that area, many folk know where those caves exist. How hard can it be to catch this man in this day and age with all this technology? Isn't that what it was built to do?

What happened to the presumption of innocence? I find it funny that Bucky supposedly had amunition capable of piercing thru both the front and back of the troopers body armour and shot a trooper in Elmira whilst staying in Chautauqua County throughout this ordeal! Yes he is NON VIOLENT and no one has shown me a shread of evidence otherwise! Have they indicted the trooper who shot and killed an innocent civilian because he thought it was Bucky 6 weeks ago?

My thoughts...call off the search...stop hunting the man...let him surface and arrest him! Is this worth more lives much less 500k per day? I dont think these guys could find their kids in a closet!

It is apparent that this man has no intentions of being captured alive. I agree with the head NY tropper, the only way he is coming out is in a body bag. He has no remorse for the shooting of those three men, who were doing there job, all we can do is pray for those involved. May no harm come to anyone. God Bless

Shoot him. Shoot him several times. That would be justice, or at least on the right path.

Enough is too much! It's time to bring Phillips to justice, and right now he has made the term 'justice' very vague when applied to him. The thing that makes an individual like him do the things he's been doing, differentiate him from those who can succeed in society. This is a self indulgent rampage for infamy and notariety. He'll be one for the books alright, but the final line won't serve him well. 'The End' of his freedom is signaling only the beginning of suffering for way too many innocent individuals. Even his own family will be known forever as relatives of "Bucky" Phillips, the ruthless killer.

These worthless, cop killer maggots don't even deserve to live in civilized society. The law is too *** lenient on these criminals! They suck down oxygen they don't deserve and terrorize society. Lock them up and throw away the key!

This entire story, no matter how it plays out, is so sad. I'm the widow of a retired New York State Trooper. All of the public, should be saddened, by the senseless death, and severe wounding of the Troopers involved. NON-VIOLENT?? my foot. Please catch this guy, before anymore tragedy occurs.

This whole thing is kind of a game between cops and Bucky. At least that is what it seems like to us. The cops "find him" and then he mysteriously escapes again. We feel if the police really wanted to get Bucky then he wouldnt have all these chances to keep running. They should have got him when he was in Wild Cat Park. It wouldnt have been that hard to surround the place and end this "chase" then....Oh well scare innocent people some more...The only thing i agree with that the police have said, is that "I dont feel one bit sorry for the ******* people who help Bucky out. This is insane!!!!
