Andrew Cohen: A Moderate-Centrist-Liberal Will Likely Be Tabbed, But That's Just A Hunch
- I would just remind the audience that nowhere in the constitution does it say that a Supreme Court justice has to be a lawyer. So, you could nominate, for example, Jimmy Carter. I say open the field up to include this possibility.

- "the White House is looking for people with experience in law and in life, people with character and commitments to a community, people who can make hard decisions but still have empathy for the litigants before them."
Note that supporting the Constitution and protecting liberty are not important. - Reply to this comment
- I'm good Stu. It's incredible how EVERY subject ends up being boiled down to partisan politics and or religion.

Like SND said, every time Rick is on a thread, he hijacks the thread and spews forth his intolerant and bigoted religious views, and when everyone slaps him around, he runs out pouting like he's a victim somehow.
He's definitely a "victim", but that's not our fault or anything we did. - Reply to this comment
- 3. Very in favor of a woman's right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term or not.

Hooray! I think they should have the first year after birth to decide whether or not they're "keepers"! If not, well... - Reply to this comment
- As I said 35 minutes ago, the next Supreme Court Justice will be Marjorie "Midge" Rendel, wife of the Governor of PA. It's a done deal, so it is time to end this thread.

- "You're saying the government shouldn't be "for" or "against" abortion, but the current government is OVERWHELMINGLY FOR abortion, otherwise TAX-PAYER MONEY wouldn't be used to fund it! "
Our government is not forcing people to get abortions. We also spend tax money on abstinence education in other countries...something which does little for anyone but the religious people in this country who pushed for it. As I said before, Abortion is a lot cheaper than paying for babies. Our government is not a religion, so all options should be available - the choice should belong to those who are involved. - Reply to this comment
- Jesus Christ is my LORD and Savior, not Barak Obama.
You can continue to "follow" Barak Obama, as you wish..

Exactly as I said.
I'll worry about America, you worry about Israel or the Vatican.

- So if you and I were asked to give an account of a world event and write a research paper on it, would our words be EXACTLY the same, word for word in our reports?

If the bible is pure and true like you claim it is, I would expect them to be identical - word for word.
But then again John was really Mary Magdalin, Jesus wife, and that's left out of the bible too. - Reply to this comment
- Did God rape Mary? I'm mean, you have to admit, He wasn't very respectful of her reproductive autonomy.

Funny too that gays can't get married because it's "anti-christian", yet Mary can cheat on Joseph, and that's acceptable. - Reply to this comment
- Your version of the "Truth" is what Barak Hussein Obama says.
My Truth is given to me by the precious Words of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, in His Word.
(now's the part where you start attacking my faith, with all your leftist friends on here)

That's perfect.
We're following the president of the US, and you're following the leader of christianity.
So move to Israel or the Vatican, and deal with YOUR issues over there, while Americans deal with our problems here. - Reply to this comment
- "But you still haven't answered mine. How can you call Obama a "moderate" when he implemented using tax-payer money to fund abortion clinics around the globe?"
Our government should not be for or against abortion...to that end, the Roe . Wade decision was actually pretty good. If you're against abortion, don't have one...if you want one, you should have the ability to do so without another citizen trying to inject their own personal morality or religious feeling on the subject.
In a strictly practical sense, it's a lot less costly to get an abortion than it is to pay for a birth and the other governmental costs associated with a citizen from birth to death. Why should other taxpayers be saddled with the expenses of raising a person because their birth was mandated by the government? From a purely logical sense, we should be standing around outside of churches with signs trying to convince women to get abortions if we're really worried about high taxes. - Reply to this comment
- Loyalty to the country, to individualism, NOT Obama.
Got it?

If the right wing extremists / conservatives "love" the country so much, then why do they constantly do things to try and destroy it? - Reply to this comment
- Thank you for your kind words Stuart.......It's very frustrating when asked for proof, you provide it (multiple) and Liberals such as Hungry who hate conservatives and republicans completely dismiss your sources as being biased.......so today, I provided a source from Stamford University.....still not sufficient, since it went against his liberal agenda....nothing is sufficient as proof....get it ?
Posted by Joe-NY-4 at 11:18 AM : May 1, 2009
You provided NOTHING!!
You provided an APPLICATION for a voter registration card, as PROOF that illegal aliens can vote because of the "Motor Voter Act", which of course is 100% wrong! - Reply to this comment
- Gee, why the shyness to appoint a true Liberal Justice who believes in justice.
The Conservatives and Republicans had no problem appointing and approving right wing extremists like Rehnquist (when younger, active in harassing Chicano voters in Arizona), Sandra Day O'Connor (one dumb extreme right wing nutjob), "Justice" Scalia (who decided, after all, that all votes don't count in our country) and the other extreme right wing peanuts like "Justice" Roberts. A pack of extreme right wing Con Republican lock-step puppets.
What the media means by "moderate" is don't stray too far from the extreme right wing the Conservatives and Republicans have taken this nation.
And the extreme right believe in welfare for the rich. The poor (most the people in this country) have to learn to "work harder" (pay more taxes so the rich can get more welfare). The goons on the extreme right are led by the true leader of the Republican Party, Super Pig himself, drug addict Lush Limpbrain. - Reply to this comment
- right_wing_extremist-have pity on hungry1968 she/he (think it's a she). Basically, he/she will enter into a reasonable discussion but like most libs, resorts to name calling and nonsense.
Gotta love the blind loyalty of the left. Now, all they have is group think.

- This is not a hard question. The next Supreme Court Justice will be Majorie "Midge" Rendel of the Governor of Pennsylvania. Next question, please.

- Let me spell it out for you, in simpleton terms.
You go to DMV
You ask for form MV44EDL (6/08)
Go to page 3 - Motor Voter Registration
Fill it out
When it asks if you are a citizen, just say YES (even if you are not a citizen, check YES)
Your citizenship won't be verified by anyone
Then when you get your voting card - vote (even though you are not a citizen)
ARE THOSE STEPS SIMPLE ENOUGH FOR YOU
I already gave you proof from several sources that citizenship is NOT verified at all.
Posted by Joe-NY-4 at 11:11 AM : May 1, 2009
Why don't you READ what you're posting!!!!
Page 3 says: "New York State Voter Registration Application Information". It DOES NOT say "Motor Voter Registration"
Now scroll FARTHER DOWN to where it says:
"If you register to vote, your completed voter registration application will be SENT DIRECTLY TO THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS."
Do you see that part?!?! - Reply to this comment
