He''''s right....it IS one of the worst decisions in th history of this country. They should close GITMO and sship all their islamo-terrorist arses over to a prison in Iraq.
Posted by LibH8er

See, it doesn''t matter. The decision made not only Gitmo a part of America but any military installation we have across any continent can now be considered American territory and therefore falls under the jurisdiction of the courts. This is very bad law. It''s tantamount to have a lawyer read anyone the military picks up there Miranda right on the battle field which is why I''ve been saying "When in Doubt, Take Them Out". An old sailor friend of mine said that was the philosophy during WWII.

My response would be to say to President Anthony Kennedy - if that''s what you want, then you enforce the law but with the kind of ninnies we have on the Hill now especially that Petrified Puke of Pure Slime Pewlosi, it ain''t never gonna happen.

Bush says we don''t need a Constitution.
McCain says we don''t need a Supreme Court either.
Fools of a feather flock together.

Mc Cain and Hitler both see/saw the military as the supreme power. I sure hope McCain does not come to power.

You are apparently a victim if moral relativism as you posses you ability to tell right from wrong or good from evil. Comparing McCain a war hero to a mass murderer only demostrates how mental deficient you are. You are living a wasted, intellectually depraved life. You are an insult to everything decent.

McCanE has psychologicaly bonded with his North Vietnamese torturers and is projecting their barbarous behavior out upon the world as he seeks to become the "one in charge." As with those who were tragically abused as children do often become abusers in adulthood it is a common balancing mechanism to "identify" with your tormentor and to copy their actions.....when you have the chance to do so:"NOW I AM IN CHARGE AND I''LL SHOW YOU WHAT FOR!"

Actually, it is believed that did happen in a few cases - with both China and the Soviet Union."--Posted by Rafterman1

But they missed McCain.

''''m totally embarrassed by my country and its politicians. Bush is a moron, Clinton a liar, Obama a religious freak, and McCain is just plain senile. I lost out on the opportunity to support Ron Paul, so I''''m voting for the only logical candiate: Pat Paulsen. Again proving that the best President is a dead President.

And you are also proving that your vote is not worth much--to you or anyone else. Voting for marginal or fringe candidates may help your angst--but they serve to either enable another more viable candidate to get elected, or to prevent a candidate from getting elected. You and others know very well that voting the fringe will never result in your candidate getting elected, what you don''t seem to appreciate is that by negation you still help one of the others--you just lose the control to decide which you enable ---by throwing away your vote. You can achieve the same by staying home--and there, you at least can save yourself the gas money.

When the Constitution granted all men certain rights--it did not add a clause for people we did not like or who were against us. We may not like the fact that we have to consider others guilt or innocence and allow them due process and their day in court--we may like the idea that our government can sweep up people and either by stealth, lies or rightfully hold them for years, torture them and not grant them a fair and impartial hearing* but we should respect that--because history shows that whatever laws are visited on others in a time of war--they eventually are used against innocent civilian populations. So far in this war, thousands have been imprisoned and at some point thousands have been freed--but that freedom at whatever point it occurred does not change the experience, the damage to their lives and families'' lives, and the fact that our generic "get the bad guys" plan is severely flawed. Are there some really bad people at Gitmo? Without a doubt. Are there some innocent people held for years at Gitmo? Probably--how will we be able to tell the difference? By holding IMPARTIAL trials. Something the military can''t do. The military can''t be impartial because they are neck deep in proving they were right in the first place. Every human deserves their day in court and not a Kangaroo court. To ensure justice and fairness--that court must not have a vested interest in justifying what it has been doing for the past 6 years.

MCVet, bluestardad over the years I have voted for Republican and Democrats who ever I beleeived was the best.

However, after seeing the lock step of the GOP in the last 8 years I understand what my father and mother were telling me about McCarthy and how he almost destroyed this country. Now I see why a man who had been rasied a Republican switched parties and became a Democrat and never voted Republican again.

It cost the Republicans 40 years for a Senator how long will it cost them for a President. That is the reason for not impeaching these morons. The GOP by the end of August will be slinging mud like no tomorrow and it still will not help them.

This year will be a blood bath in congress.

This is not about Mcbush/McSame it is about preserving our ideals. our constitution, who we are as a people. The hypocrisy of leaglized torture and death for "enemies of the state" is so similar to Hitler''s Nurmeburl Laws which "justified" the slaughter of millions. If we torture and falsely imprison others then don''s shed a tear when they do it to you or your sons and daughters. Vote for Obama the Real America and not this quasi-fascist state envisioned by the Republican scum now in the White house and this nut job McCain.

OOOPS!!! Problem is, all the quotes you list (I won''t say ''cite'', since you haven''t cited a thing) have been shown to be either utter fabrications by the religious right or misquotes that actually twist the intention of thw founding fathers. Try to do your own research instead of just cutting and pasting from your right-wing email chains.

I really hope you get Obama, you will regret that day, do you realize that you or no one else knows anything about this man. What little that is known is bad and you blind fools can''''''''''''''''t see it. If all you can come up with on John McCain after so many years in public life is to call him names then you are pathetic.

SO you think ALL those years on the Public Payroll give''s this Nazi the right to just thumb his nose at our Constitution and it''s PROTECTIONS? You fools HAVE bought into FASCISM, Hook, Line and sinker! Ready?? Let Shooter Cheney hear ya now!! SIEG HEIL BUSH!! SIEG HEIL McSame!!

Excuse me, but you have your facts wrong. The prisoners of the internment camps were mostly AMERICAN CITIZENS and their constitutional rights were violated. But of course, you and your closeted fascist really do despise the Constitution.

Not yet drowning, but still drinking deeply, and enjoying it, as are their few remaining supporters.

It will take continuing mass demonstrations and other protests to turn their drinking party into a drowning. Even after the election we the people must hold their heads in the blood until they drown, it is not enough to vote them out of office, they cannot be allowed to walk away free of responsibility for the death and destruction their lies have caused.

He is a vet. He takes it personally..McCain is out. Obama is out as well, and bush is out as well. They all take some thing personally and that raised a flag. They can''t lead or hold that office if they can''t realise they are the problem. America must be careful as the leaders fight for power, greed. It is we the people, for the people and by the people. It is NOT one mam ,for him and by him.. people..3 branches of govt.

terroislami:

You like to say this is a Christian Nation. I''ve got news for you... American may be largely Christian but the Bush fascist regime and their supporters are fake Christians.

Tell me where in the Bilble the message of Jesus could be used to condone a War President, who LIED his way into launching a War on Iraq, who is responsible for
the DEATH of a few Hundred Thousand!!

Bush/Cheney and the complicit Democrats are drowning in the Blood of innocent Iraqis - Jesus would not approve.
