It is with great sorrow that a great woman such as Elizabeth Edwards had to pas hopefully to a better world. I know John knows what he has lost and probably has deep regrets as to what he may have done during the marriage that had a negative effect on the relationship. With all my heart I give my regrets and am asking the great spirit to help the family in these trying times. May her life be remembered by all and cherished by the family and friends that had the privilege to know her personally.

I'm sorry to see anyone die who has a family, but what's the big deal here ??

Just another lawyer married to a shyster politician.

I can likely read any newspaper in the U.S. and find the obituary of a person who was far more deserving of accolades than Ms. Edwards.

This is a great article about a mom whose love for her children superseded the crisis within herself, I believe she is in a better place.

I can't post what I'd call John Edwards...Elizabeth certainly did not deserve a husband like him. She was education and class all the way. I would never vote for her husband...hopefully, his politcal career is finish.

Why is her death worthy of national news and national caring? She and her family are but one of millions of Americans who have experienced the same, and in many cases the stories of other Americans are sadder.

My granddaughter has has a girl friend whom just graduated from highschool last year and was to attend college on a scholarship when it was determined that she has terminal ovarian cancer.

So This is what American has turned into.... because of the internet we all can hide behind our screens and post the most disrepectfull, uncalled for words where ever we want, What are we becoming ?....
The Country I was Born and raised in respected someone's loss.

#1 Elizabeth has lost her battle with cancer leaving 3 children behind that are greiving the loss of their Mother, having lost my mom about a year and half ago, I get that , but I am 38 these children are 10, 12 and 28, John, Emma and Cate, I am so sorry for your loss and If by Chance you are online reading about your Mom, Please do not take the few losser's comments out here to heart, They are motivated by politic's and who is a D or an R when Most True American's could care less what someone is and more if they beleive in them and feel they can trust Them, I would Love it if we could just get rid of the right or left issue.
Jake, Emma and Cate
I miss my mom everyday and I am truly sorry for your loss it is and will always be one of the hardest times in your lives, please try to be there for each other and talk about your Mom as much as you can together it will help.
you are all in my thoughts and prayers

To make such a comment about "assisted suicide" at the second most meaningful time of a human's life, makes me wonder if you have a soul.
