- I have it. My journey began in January with diagnosis and I cannot yet claim to be a survivor. I decided to put my journal out there for others to share.

- My sister passed away August 21st, 2008 due to complications caused by Bladder Cancer. It was horrible to watch her just fade away like that. She couldn't have surgery because of congestive heart problems. The doctor said she wouldn't survive the operation. What bugs me the most about that is, they washed their hands of her and jst let her suffer to the very end. Seems like it would have more humane to at least try. If she didn't survive, then she would have already been under and wouldn't have suffered so much. I just don't get it. Society puts a man in jail for assisted suicide, but they allow hospice to come in and do the same thing. She didn't die of the cancer, she died of an overdose of morphine....WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?????

- Thank you Mr. Schieffer. As a fellow bladder cancer survivor, it means a lot that you would speak out about a cancer that doesn't get much attention, but affects so many of us. We survivors are grateful to have such a respected spokesman.
