Rep. Barton couldn't have said it better. We're Americans! God gave us the right to waste as much as we want to, and #$%! everybody else!
How is it that the average Scandinavian uses about half the energy we do per person yet they're healthier and more satisfied with life? Germany already gets about 20% of its power from renewable sources and is on track for over half by 2050, but we can't even bother to recycle aluminum cans (93% less energy to recycle than to mine new...)

- I was never a fan of George Bush, but his signing the legislation banning the incandescent light bulb not only was the right thing to do, but it will go a long way in making this a better world.

The greenie idiots will not rest their little verminous brains until we all live in poverty with dirt floors, no meat, no electricity, no AC, no cars, and no running water.
Each and every time one of you buys a stupid over-priced fluorescent bulb, or buys a device marked GREEN(usually with bad performance), or buys a tiny aluminum hybrid car that would be crushed like a can of Pringles in an accident, or you spend hours each week recycling stuff that should all be buried in our vast landfills...each time you do ANYTHING the pathetic "greenies" want you to do , you are playing into their hands and their demented plan.
So, just stop. Stop listening to the whacko greenies. Live your life,. Enjoy your life. Vote for reasonable people who ignore the greenies. Get rid of Obungler and his Marxist whacko friends.

- Just as the incandescent bulb is obsolete, so was Edison's' electric power stations.
He ran on direct current which is inefficient for power transmission.
It was his contemporary and rivals Tesla and Westinghouse that changed the world. Tesla even invented the neon light.
It seems no love was lost either, since Edison cheated Tesla out of his part in the "light" of history.....lol
Not many people know Macaroni's patent for radio was revoked and re-awarded to Tesla also.
So far those expensive bulbs don't work in the bathroom. I've blown many of those bulbs and will end up purchasing black market bulbs if they don't find a solution for that. - Reply to this comment
