Isn't it ironic that the first Weapon of Mass Destruction deployed over a vast area of the United States came not from terrorists but from BP?

Did B.P. know how much oil they were pumping out before the spill...They seem to know how much they are collecting with the cap...Simple Math?Subtract one from the other to see how much is still being lost..Are we right on this??? Thanks for keeping us informed although we are far from the spill. We live next to the St Lawrence River in Northern New York.

How long should a person wait for help if a person makes a claim with BP? And Know that some of the State like Alabama are step in to help out with the claim is this going to make it fast or slow it even slower to get help for those who have losed their way of income due to the oil spill? And how many other state have stepped in to help with the claim process?
Do we have to lose our homes before get our claims paid?

Why is it the media will not attack Pres Obama like they did Pres. Bush when it comes to failure in the
Gulf??? The ratings for how Pres. Obama has responded to the situation are worse than Bush's but he media has down played all of it. Why is that???? Pres. Obama continues to give MOUTH time to the crisis while are ecosystem is being devastated. Shall the people who develop cancer in the future sue Obama as well as BP???? It does not matter to the US people who Obama wants to file criminal charges against, or who he wants to sue. What matters is who he is sending to help and what he is doing to combat the situation on the coast. It is abundantly clear HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE OR THE SITUATION..... The media, who drives everything, is PATHETIC in regards to this situation and this President. Have you so been bullied by him, like everyone else??? The Presidents' MO is to BULLY ALL.......THE SENATE, THE CONGRESS, THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES AND OBVIOUSLY THE MEDIA. "Shame. shame.... we know your name"
Please,,,,, someone in the media stand up and take a stand regarding this devastation to our life line!!!! Don't just talk to the people visiting the coast, talk to those who live there and rely on the coast to supply their needs. You, the media, have not even bothered to talk or listen to them!!!
Our life has changed because money and oil are all that matter to the US and to this President. This is a horrible legacy to leave our children and grand children. while BP continues to get rich!!!

I have a question: What happens if we have a Hurricane in the Gulf. Will that not make the spill more difficult to clean up? Will BP then clain that it was an act of God so they are no longer responsible for the clean up. That is what Insurance companies do!

what if bp drilled a secondary well into the earth to lessen the pressure of the bleeding well? would this make it easier to plug the first pipe?

Where are all the "Save the Gulf" concerts? Where are the T.V. benefits with celebrities & musicians giving heartfelt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income & the sabotaged gulf economy? It's rather strange how these people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti & other countries, but sit on their ***** for this one. Post if you agree

It seems to me that if we really wanted to reduce our dependence on oil, the country would reinstate the national 55 mph speed limit. Why hasn't that been proposed?

I suggest you should have sent for people from Minn, Iowa, the Dakotas . If this happened to them, the beaches would not be empty , waiting for workers to come and clean. Midwesterners would have been out in the bay, waist deep, with any kind of hay, hair, cloth barrier they could find, as they stood arm to arm , keeping the oil from reaching the beach, and NOT WAITING FOR OTHERS TO COME HELP THEM!

Hi; Concering oil spill repair. I understand BP drills straight down until an oil pocket is reached. Would it be possible to attach chains, cables, or straps to oil well and with a ship equiped with crane pull the oil well straight up out of the oil pocket? The walls of the well should then cave in as the well pipes comes up plugging well shut.
