- This is what happens when you deregulate industry to the point that they are simply able to do whatever they want whenever they want to regardless of the consequences.
This is just one more remnant of disastrous Republican rule. - Reply to this comment
- It's funny how republicans can spin things. Remember "drill baby drill".
It is widely known that it's the republicans, who are very cozy with the oil executives. Republicans are such big Hypocrites. - Reply to this comment
- Enron, Worldcom, Leehman Bros, Halburton, Mattel, Monsanto, Toyota, Facebook, Google, BP, Exxon/Mobil, Massey Mining, Continental Airlines, Countyrywide Mortgage, Tyson, etc, these are the kind of terrorists you should be afraid of. Forget the Taliban.
I'm not a communist/socialist. Just a consumer constantly on the alert for the next bomb to drop in my daily life. It's one thing to go out the door knowing life happens. It's another when you begin to feel like it's Russian roulette! - Reply to this comment
- Oh yeah, and too much regulation and govt does get in the way of profits, but by all means, let's kill employees, customers and the natural resources necessary to keep business going. What a business model: just blow the hole dang thing to smithereens so we make that profit today--screw tomorrow. Screw ranchers, farmers, fishermen, main street. Thanks Wall Street and speculators on the spot market.

- Too funny--no duh. Cozy in airline regulation and safety. We're really lucky more haven't nose dived, killing hundreds. Food safety: salmoniella in produce, peanut butter, e coli in burgers, lead in toys, Toyota cars, commuter train wrecks, the mining disaster, Horizon oil rig disaster, defective/counterfeit parts in fighter jets, military goods, TARP . . . and it goes on and on.
I think it was Reagan that said "govt is the problem not the solution." So, how's all that hokey-pokey logic working fur ya these days? Yeah, yu betcha! Wait, vote Palin, she'll solve everything by advocating absolutely no govt at all--ever!! Boy, that'll be fun. Drill baby drill?!! How about spill baby spill!!
All of this is the fallout of stupidity going waaaayyy back before BO, but yeah, it's all his fault for sure. - Reply to this comment
