- With this health reform Swartz and his wife Teresa expect their premiums to keep jumping.
"Somebody will have to pay for it - for the uninsured to be insured," Teresa said. "I just don't want it to be the middle class."
Ok, here is the thing, if you have health insurance you are already paying for those without. You either do it through taxes or you do it through higher insurance premiums.
We have this national health care bill and we pay for it having those with insurance pay far more for thier healthcare than those who don't have it. You fix it by either getting everyone to pay and working to control costs, or you simply cut people off of healthcare who don't have insurance. No one wants to do the latter, so we MUST do the former. - Reply to this comment

- First, the headline is misleading at best. The number of people paying more taxes is pretty small.
Second, if anyone thinks they aren't paying for the uninsured right now, you haven't been paying attention. You do. Only you pay more because they go to emergency rooms and pay the ridiculously over-inflated prices charged the uninsured. You pay when they're really sick when it might be avoidable. - Reply to this comment
