People are stupid. More money is lost due to hangovers after the friggin superbowl and hollydaze than an hour lossed snoozing. Sleep is highly overrated. Ya get enough sleep when ya die.

When you see stupidity this flagrant in a major media outlet like CBS, you begin to realize just how this country has come to descend so far down into the pit of ignorance and superstition. Now we can tell our kids to explain to the teacher that they failed to do their homework because of Daylight Savings Time. For that matter, let's ALL call in sick to work on Monday and cite this tumid CBS article as authoritative 'proof' that DST made us sick and unstable. Then let's pressure the pharmaceutical industry to come up with some 'feel good' drugs to cure or ameliorate this horrible epidemic. No doubt, CBS would probably recommend that some voodoo incantations be mumbled over the body of a dead chicken, while urging us to avoid stepping on any cracks in the sidewalk until our fever has subsided. Let's ALL follow CBS and its merry band of mental defects into the bowels of ignorance and superstition where we'll all be safe from DST.

Yet another CBS exercise in moron journalism. This isn't just "bad science" -- it's irresponsible journalism at its very worst. It stands as proof-positive the public desperately needs to recognize that the U.S. media lacks credibility. In fact, it lacks even the 'Good Faith' sincere intentions essential to good journalism. Anyone who has ever attended high school knows that "correlation does NOT establish causation." Just because someone slams their thumb with a hammer at the moment a black cat walks under a ladder, does not establish that the cat caused the accident. Daaaaaa. The CBS proclamation "Studies Show Daylight Saving Time Increases Serious Heart Attacks, Decreases Returns on Investments in Week After Change" is a patently fraudulent statement irresponsibly dispensed by an inept, incompetent media entity that has absolutely nothing to do with 'news' or the Truth. I'm removing CBS from my toolbar.

I absolutely HATE DST!! This bunk they give us that it is to 'save' us $$'s and on power...I have news for you..it does not save squat! Do 'they' really think we are all that stupid? The longer the day light...the higher my bill is!! Sun out longer = air-conditioner on longer! If they left it alone, we would not have to put the air on as early...or keep it running as long!
We live in Idaho...who the devil needs it to be daylight until 10:30pm??? It is just down right stupid! And how many more children have to be hit by cars on their way to school??
If they just leave it as is...it naturally gets darker later anyway...9:00pm is plenty late! Also, some wonderful parents think nothing of anyone around them..they let the children play in the streets until 10, 11 and 12 oclock screaming and doing normal children stuff...what about others that need to get up early for work???
It's just another way of squeezing more money out of us...under the guise of 'saving' money!

So much fuss about minor inconveniences. Don't we have more important things to worry about? Apparently not.

Ha, here in Arizona we don't put up with this foolishness. About time the rest of the country wakes up (pardon the pun) and does away with DST.

Why the hell do we subject ourselves to this nonsense every year? So schoolkids don't have to go to school in the dark in the morning? CHANGE SCHOOL HOURS. Don't screw with the circadian rhythms of a third of a billion people all at once.

There's no reason we can't keep one time frame or another. Frankly, Daylight Savings Time seems far more appropriate than Standard Time, at least from an energy savings point of view. But pick one and stick to it. Benjamin Franklin's joke has gone too far.

For years I struggled terribly for multiple days after I adjusted the clocks forward each spring. Then 10 years ago, I decided to experiment by adjusting my clocks forward on Friday afternoon preceding the Saturday night when it's supposed to be done. So on Friday and Saturday night, I end up going to bed an hour earlier. In doing so I no longer struggle like I had for many years. The mental and physical difference in the way I feel is remarkable. Others of you may want to try it.

It was a dark and stormy night. And stupid farmers needed there offspring to get home and work the farm. Now 2000 years later, we still abide by the time change thing. Is it me or does nothing in this god forsaken country ever change regardless of technology?
