story is brought to the USA by "just another city dweller." Buying food on the cheap shelf of (and on the backs of) a family farm that just saw a turkey meat package when the entire piece talked about pigs, beef, and chickens...RU vegan? Enjoy...no one is forcing you to eat a balanced meal.

Ms. Couric,

The appropriate question to ask is would the MRSA of today exist if the need for massive antibiotic use were absent - as if intensive farming was not the norm.

re: antibiotics in meat. why are you bringing this news to our attention now? It is common knowledge that this has been going on for the past 40 years. Our government kicked Max Gerson out of the US for healing cancer and warning against eating toxic meat. I'm your average "Joe Plumber" and well aware about the over use of antibiotics in our meat. I am also aware about the substitute sugars killing multitudes, causing the increase of Alzheimers and other neurological disorders, or what about the aluminum in deodorants increasing the risk of breast cancer as well as neurological disorders. Nevertheless perhaps there are a few people out there who need to know what our government is allowing in our foods and drinks so thank you for reporting this. Maybe next week you can talk about all the dyes and preservatives in all our food thats killing us also. But isn't this the plan, population control?

Yet, another story bashing the way U.S. farmers supplying us with the best quality food supply in the world. Without our cheap food many people would go hungry or even starve. If cbs wants a really story they should focus on why factory farms are replacing the family farm. And how family farm produced food is the solution to food security problems. Buy local and support your farm community. If the anti-farm agenda of some prevails we will all be in deep trouble.

Lets remember the American Farmer provides the healthiest and highest put quality food in the world. If you are going to go after the American Farmer remember they put the food on you table. As for antibiotics does the consumer want to eat meat from sick animals. We can stop using antibiotics which would cause food price to double at least so be careful what you wish for. Finally, be careful with the term "Factory Farm". The family farm does not need your bad press.

Stop the antibiotics. Unless someone is nearly dying DO NOT administer these things. Antibiotics have caused more and more problems as time goes by because the bacteria keep developing immunity to them and it makes these bugs more and more virulent. It's going to get to the point where if you get anything you have a death sentence because we've taught all these bacteria how to be immune to everything in our dwindling arsenal.
