Is this a thing from the mad sceintist that insist that global warming is man caused? These people do not care what they destroy or who they hurt. Hug that tree they will try to destroy it next to make sure you understand that it is man caused but they are the men that do these things.

The carp's journey began in the 1970s when it was imported from China to clean southern fish hatcheries of algae.
It's time we give up the Right to be Stupid.

I actually saw a reservoir have a poison called something like Rodinal put in it, it killed all the fish within five minutes. The poison also only lasted about five minutes. They then planted about 1500 trout, within 1 year there were over 5000 trout in this lake. It made for some incredible fishing the next several years.

This is a great opportunity to practice and show to others that unexpected resources can be put to good use of the human race by feeding the hungry. By the way, carps taste rich and its great grilled.

I agree, they should be encouraging people to catch and eat the fish. We've driven species to the brink of extinction by overfishing, so why not this one. It would actually be for the best in this case. These carp are in fact used in cuisine in their country of origin. Poisoning the water just seems like a COLOSSALLY STUPID idea.

Having family in Yellowstone, I've seen the solution first hand.

A hundred thousand grizzly bears and a like number of otters and ospreys moved into the Great Lakes area would take care of the problem nicely.

Intentionally poisoning a water supply. What genius thought that up? MoRece has a great idea. Let's feed people. There are these things called nets. They might not have heard of them yet. Pretty new but they work real well. Poisoning is a really bad idea.

In reply, why don't the fish and game, or wildlife agencies allow mass fishing in those areas. To reduce the population of this asian crap. Why poison it when the crap can go to feeding people. Why poison the the fish and the environment, that will only in up poisoning more fish and animals in those areas, in the long run. There has to be a better way.
